The band started back in 1998 in El Paso, TX, with Lui and Yiyo. After a period of finding the right band mates, E.R.Y who used to play the bass, became Asthma's front man and Santana closed the circle joining as the bass player. Like many other bands, they started playing covers from their influences and after some time, they all combined their influences to create their own original material.
In late 2008 they produced and mixed their 1st album titled Gasping for Sanity. According to the band, this is a reflection of what they have achieved during all the time they have been together. Asthma has put a lot of effort into both the lyrics and the music. The band describes their music as "how they feel about the world"

You should be hurting after a show, nothin like seeing a great band perform for you :) I need a massage too I can't massage my own back unfortunately haha I'll be at your show for sure if y'all come and you'll have all the massages you want lol I massaged the bass player from Down With Webster the other day...his shoulder was hurting him so I fixed it :D ha pretty cool tho I just listened to all your songs again and Opaque and Deviant like 3 times each!!! I work at a spa givin' massages but I'm receptioning today and every saturday so i just play on the computer all day haha suckas! :) look me up when you're in town (San Antonio), I'll hook y'all up with some massages! haha sudoku's aren't that hard, come on now :p lol yea i'll be voting here in a few minutes but even if my song doesn't win it'll be cool, I like em all so no disappointment from meee :D

yea man apoque is a pretty tight song. today is the first time listenin to ur songs and gots to say im lovin the music. so far thats my favorite but ill listen to more songs to see which ones i like more
