Reviews:
"Not being too unfair on the other bands, but I thought my night had been wasted. Until AstroManiacs came on the stage, that is. First impressions were the same as all the other bands – young, inexperienced, but I stayed, as I thought it would have been unfair to leave without watching them all. And my word! I'm glad I did. They kicked off with a questionable song, which I believe was down to the sound technician playing with the sound, but after that, they were truly great. The last two songs that they played were nothing short of top draw. Simply fantastic. If either of them had been released on a CD, I would be on my way to buy it now. As soon as they are, I will be. I have no doubt that these guys will be snapped up soon. The different effects and their style of music varied so much that they will appeal to everyone. Speaking to the band afterwards, they said they didn't think it had gone very well. I would love to see a gig where they think it had gone well!"
''There was one band that grabbed my attention, the young but incredibly talented, four piece ‘AstroManiacs’ from Countesthorpe College. I was impressed with the professionalism and dedication to their music.''
AstroManiacs, made up of: Nikhil Sharma:

Forming early 2008, and meeting at Countesthorpe College, AstroManiacs are a 4 Piece from Leicester. A change to the line up in the form of Dan Stokes on drums in December, AstroManiacs are back on form and raring to go.
Young and energetic on the Leicester scene aiming to create a local fanbase, AstroManiacs will be announcing a number of gigs to follow and with a few trips to the recording studio's in the near future, shall be spacing their way around the UK.
The lads have been embracing well known stages and playing with some large bands, such as The Screening and Exit Avenue.
AstroManiacs have been touted as a band to look out for in the future.
Outside of the on stage music, the band colaborates superbly, doing jobs which are usually done by outsiders, themselves. Nik does most of the songwriting, and is getting better by the second, Ryan does all the computer work - from designing flyers, to the layout of this very MySpace page. Dan is the roadie, and for a small person, his energy seems endless! Then there is Ash, the general manager. Gig getter. Organiser. Negotiator. The one who can never quite make a decision himself... but oh well.
Somehow, it works. It just does.

'Twisti' and drop me an add =]
Everythings good with me tho fankoo =] Hows your day been? x
Alright ryann.. Oooh btw did you get your adaptor, I gave it to Jake to give to Ash. Well were not 100% sure on doing an EP or not, the problem with that is its a lot of extra expenses, when people just tend to download the songs anyway. But we'll be recording 3 songs, one of which will be a re-recording of good things ;) And we'll probably be going into the studio for a day in August, so we can do a single release of this one we're working on at the moment.. You boys coming down to the Shed on the 20th? Were in the OBS semi. Yeah, that would be a good idea for you lot, live recordings dont really do bands any justice.. Chris x
we don't mind doing covers but prefer doing originals, i think we're doign an sclub7 cover and the friends theme tune or something haha. we've got enough songs that we can tailer our set depending on audience, we can be more popunky if we want or more skapunk, or a bit heavier and with the new songs we have going we have even more choice which is always good
i think freefallfelix recorded there, and their tracks are mint quality, the moment we have the money and are happy with any changed we want to make to songs we'll be there =]
yeah i remember having to cut my mate's band down to a 15 minute set cus they were late, i felt so bad though!
how many songs you guys got? we have 7 finished and 2 covers with 3 or 4 more originals nearly done and we're doing 5 more covers for a charity festival where it'd probs be best to do more covers than originals
pakr farm is awesome quality, tbh it's just as good as any pro studio i've heard and it's only 75 quid-ish a day i think with a small fee for out of hours mixing/mastering =]
yeah, the problem with local gigs is everyone has to leave about 10ish for buses! the gigs i've organised in the past i've made damn sure the bands are on when i want them and it finished 11 latest and only if the headliners don't mind ending that late!
we're gunna be booking more summer dates soon but at the moment we're concentrating on writing and polishing stuff off, we have so many ideas it's hard to process them all and decide whether to keep them. we're hoping to record at park farm mid summerish
yeah i've just read the message on facebook and i'm pretty gutted but kinda relieved as they weren't telling us any information that we needed to know.
we have videos of all but the last song up on youtube, my dad recorded them without telling me lol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7HjY1NGEzY that's just dance and if you clik on more from the user there should 5 videos of us =] we're gunna rip the audio off them and chuck them around as mp3 files =]
i think phase4 came 6th (what the helll they're like the best band ever) and we came last or something hahahaaa tbf they counted wrong on the door, just when the doors opened 8 people came in for us and they only put 6 down and more people came so i dunno if they counted them right or not either lolol
