Miss Asia Arizona is now accepting applications for the 5th Annual Cultural Pageant which will take place on Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Metro Phoenix, Arizona. A showcase of Culture, Beauty, Elegance and Talent. An opportunity to win over $10,000.00 in prizes and gift, a chance of a lifetime for press & media appearances, travel, community & charity events, and represent our state for the Miss Asian America Pageant in San Francisco, California.
Contestant Qualifications: Must be naturally born female, from 17-27 years old with at least 25% Asian/Pacific Islander Ancestry. Never been married and never had any children, must possess good moral character and must be Arizona Resident.
The pageant will select over 25 Asian women from around the state, who trace their ancestry to the 58 countries considered part of the Asian continent. Interviews are taking places on January 20 & 21, 2008. Applications must be submitted prior to this date. “The Miss Asia Arizona Cultural Pageant displays the rich ethnic diversity of our society and gives us a glimpse in the multitudes of cultures that surrounds’ us today,” says Gene Flores, Executive Director of CityHits Production, the pageant producer and organizer. “The delegate will not only be an epitome of beauty and intelligence but a reflection of the unity and sociability of our growing Asian/Pacific Islander community in Arizona.” It is our goal to unite the 58 countries in the Asian continent by having representative on each country in this celebration of Culture, Beauty and Elegance.
Each delegate will undergo training on poise, self confidence, public speaking, etiquette, proper walking, goal setting, social skills and much more. All these will be a beginning of an experience and knowledge of a lifetime!
