"With Kong-sized breakdowns, and enough live energy to power a small Russian city, MA's Asystole aren't just a medical-terminology-obsessed buncha metal-thugs, they're a damn-noteworthy rising force on the New England scene, and not to be taken lightly. Whether its to ten, or hundreds of people, here's an act that continually busts ass on stage, time and time again."

In the medical world "asystole" (assist-o-lee) is a dire form of cardiac arrest in which the heart stops beating and there is no electrical activity in the heart. Asystole is a universal experience that every human will eventually go through, marking a passage from life to death.
Sounding in the same vein as Killswitch Engage, Sevendust, and Mudvayne, ASYSTOLE delivers high energy metal with a unique edge that just skates upon the mainstream public eye. Based out of the Boston music scene, Tim Munroe, Art Gordon, Greg Gillis, and J.J. Long have been rehearsing their dynamic sound together since the summer of 2004. Their hard work ethic and overpowering stage performance have captured the hearts of many while subliminally bridging the gap between hardcore and hard rock genres.
The Massachusetts area band has accomplished much since its conception. They currently have a CD out in music stores all over New England, touring experience up and down the east coast, professional write-ups including a spotlight article in the November 2006 issue of Northeast Performer Magazine (40,000+ copies circulated throughout NE), experience being interviewed on college radio, experience opening up for national bands, and the fulfillment of leading a most dedicated street team and ever-growing fan base. They have also just recently been added to the roster as an official JAGERMEISTER band which is a music sponsorship that only 150+ bands in the whole country recieve.
ASYSTOLE'S debut EP is a seven-track blend of ambient samples, heart pounding riffs, crunchy screams, passionate melodies, and brutal drums. Lyric wise, every song evokes different feelings of inner torment and mental anguish while the overall messages remain hopeful and true. Through their harmony of hardcore licks and hard rock grooves, accompanied by an explosive live show, ASYSTOLE continues to permeate all spheres of heavy sounding music, leaving audiences in a transfix of enthrallment.

I'm sitting here wearing my Asystole shirt and I just watched the video...it was awesome and so sad...I can't believe you guys aren't a band anymore!! You will be missed!!
I was wearing your shirt the other day and one of my friends came up to me and said his band played with you one time. It made me sad knowing that I'd never get to see you live again. You will be missed, I'll keep wearing your shirts and listening to your cd in memory, and keep in touch!
awwwww i just watched the video. 'tear tear'. wish i could of been there, you know if i was in MA my ass would of soooo been there. i love you guys and good luck to each of you in the future.
i will never forget the good times Mr.Ect/Asystole has brought me -- numerous drunken nights at the Charlestown space, hanging with Haloburn, breaking my ankle and having to ice it with the vodka bottle in your freezer, going to shows in my cast & crutches for the next 2 months, all the way to the Brighton space, up until the Taunton space, jager sponsorship and my favorite memory -- Asystole at Wild Spirits in Brooklyn. it was you guys who made me who i am today... if it wasn't you, there will be no Rock Muse. the clinic can always help with a reunion show!!!! love the video too! andy did a great job!!!
Yeah yeah yeah your gone. Oh Well. Your a bunch of bums. Give it up for the HAS BEENS. Someone get these guys a towel to dry off cause there ALL WASHED UP. Nibble on my chode. I'll see you guys in October
