A Tale of Deception started off in the Fall of 2007, when three members (Zach, Rob, and Pat) of the former band Twisted Cadence wanted to start something a little different. They teamed up with Dylan Lewellyn who had recently left his band Plan For Darkness in search of the same. They later met Alex Gunderson and produced a 3 song CD entitled The Fall of Lykus EP. Alex left due to personal issues and they later found another guitarist who brought a little more technicality to the picture. They have played many shows around the surrounding Wisconsin area and just finished a new EP entitled Chapters.
