Die Gothic Metal Band ATARGATIS (Massacre Records) wurde 1997 im Raum Regensburg gegründet. „Atargatis“ beschreibt den Namen der syrischen Göttin der Lebensenergie. „ATARGATIS“ - Sinnbild für Schöpfungskraft und den Ursprung des Lebens, für den Drang nach mystischer Erfahrung, für die Sehnsucht nach Unergründlichem und Unermesslichem , sowohl außerhalb menschlicher Sphären, als auch tief im Innern....... Die Stimme von Stephanie Luzie (auch bekannt als Sängerin der österreichischen Gothic Band Darkwell) verläuft im Wechsel zu der düsteren, männlichen Stimme Lord Lornholds. Atmosphärische Melodien, Violinenparts, verbunden mit klassischen Orchesterlines, führen zu dem abwechslungsreichen Sound von ATARGATIS. Groovende sowie aggressive, doch meist sehr melodiöse Parts folgen auf sanfte, getragene Passagen und verweben sich so zu einem mystischen Klangmaterial..... .. English:.. .. The voice of Stephanie Luzie (also vocalist of the austrian gothic band Darkwell) is altering with a male dark voice while atmospheric keyboards and orchestral lines complete the varying sound of ATARGATIS.
