About Athelas

Grubu tam olarak su tarihte kurduk diyemeyiz. Ancak bu ismi 10.02.2008’de seçtik. Athelas ismini Tolkien'in Yuzuklerin Efendisi eserinden aldik. Okuyanlarin hatirlayacagi gibi Athelas, Orta Dunya'da Aragorn'un ozellikle kullandigi sifa dagitan bir bitkinin (kingsfoil) elf dilindeki ismidir.

Grup olusmadan once Sercan ve Mert, eglence amacli studyolar yaparak hem kendilerini gelistiriyorlardi hem de ileride olusturmayi dusundukleri grup icin sarkilar hazirliyorlardi. Bir sure boyle devam ettikten sonra grubu kurma karari alindi. Uzun bir sure eleman arayisi devam etti. En sonunda Sercan'in yakin arkadaslarindan biri olan ayrıca Dream TV'de yayın yönetmeni yardımcılığı yapan Ozge'nin ağabeyi Ozkan gruba bassci olarak alindi. Boylece temel olarak gruptaki enstrumanlar yerini bulmus oldu. Geriye vokal ve ritm gitar kaldi. Internet ustunden yapilan arastirmalarla bulunan Kaan gruba vokal olarak katildi. Son olarak Mert'in yakin arkadasi olan Tolga da gruba Ritm gitarist olarak geldi ve grup son seklini boylece aldi.

Her hafta duzenli olarak studyolarimizi Taksim'de yapmaktayiz. Repertuari genisletmek icin ugrasiyoruz. En kisa zamanda sahnede gorusmek uzere...

Ahmet Özkan Arslan kendi isteğiyle grubumuzdan ayrılmıştır.
