    Atheos formed in late 2005 from the remains of two mullingar based metal bands.Up until 2008 the line-up consisted of John Sullivan-Guitar,John Byrne-Guitar and Wayne Walsh-drums,as the position of a vocalist and a bass player changed quite a few times.In march of 2008 Alan Mc Cormack-Vocals joined the line-up and work began for their first recording.In january 2009 Atheos recorded there first m.c.d "The Death Of Utopia" which recieved great praise throughout ireland getting 4.4/5 on Metal Ireland and got a write up in the 2010 Jan/Feb edition of Zero Tolerance magazine.In January 2012,John Sullivan decided to depart from Atheos.His former position on guitar was filled by Greg Kaczmarek in march 2012.The position of bassist was filled shortly after by Stas Nepomnaschiy .Their debut album "The Human Burden" is to be released in summer 2012.

          After a long aul hiatus due to getting our upcoming album"The Human Burden" sorted and getting new members earlier this year,im pleased to announce that were gigging on saturday the 18th of august at the phoenix rising fest in kildare from 4:50 until 5:20.Hope as many of you can make it,should be a great day of metal and beer: )

Bio:

Atheos formed in late 2005 from the remains of two Mullingar based metal bands. Up until 2008 the line-up consisted of John Sullivan, John Byrne, and Wayne Walsh with Alan McCormack joining in March of that year. We released our debut E.P. entitled ''The Death of Utopia'' in August 2009. In January 2012 John Sullivan decided to depart from Atheos and was replaced by Greg Kaczmarek.The position of bassist was filled shortly afterwards by Stas Nepomnaschiy.
