once a lonely one piece, (a)therapeutic smile worked it’s way up to become a two piece. not long after that - (a)ts found a new member and then climbed the good climb and became a three piece. shortly after that they added member four, lost member three, and then added a new fourth causing the three piece to become a four piece and then quickly after that, a five piece, then back down to a four piece then back up to a five piece. now holding somewhat strong in that form, they are constantly crafting new music as well as working on an album due out sometime this year. (a)therapeutic smile welcomes you. have some tea, and maybe a muffin. then sleep on their couch and steal their pills out of their medicine cabinet. it’s only right. they would do the same to you - in a good way though. in a good way. now enjoy this: The unauthorized slideshow biography
"hidden spaces" by the morning after girls pretty much rulz everything right now. besides of course steindor andersen's "oden's raven magic." they might just tie at ruling. oh, and bang gang's "find what you get." i guess it's a 3-way tie.
so..I'M LEARNING HOW TO USE A MAC no seriously, that's where i'm at. in class. it's a little boring and obvious. want me to come by tomorrow? do our thursday night beer? i'll call.
I hate what we've become. We share the same bed but there's no affection there anymore, no connection to speak of, no spark. I miss 'us'. How did we let it get this way? We saw it happen to friends and we said "That'll never happen to us." Then we'd laugh like pirates, make love like strangers and eat some sandwiches. Now I eat sandwiches alone. Don't get me wrong, they still taste great. Just not as great as a sandwich taste when you start on one side of the bread and your lover starts on the other side of the bread and you meet in the middle like Lady & the Tramp. Remember how much we used to love that movie? We'd laugh like strangers and make love like pirates and eat a bunch of fuckin' sandwiches...It didn't even matter that we got crumbs all in the fuckin' bed. It didn't even matter...
What's up guys? Know anyone good that you'd like to see on a stage? I'm looking for more alternative acts to bring into O'Riley's and wondered if you knew any. Also, check this out: To all tommorow's parties. Adieu!
We had a blast on Thursday, as you well know. Thank you for making your pressence so loud and well orchestrated.
Ya' know, without music I'd be total shit at meeting people. I really don't know any better method to introduce myself than to make a big noise in the middle of a room and see if anyone reacts.
I missed another one. Sad stuff. John and I were baby sitting. Baby sitting a child that refused to eat Mac & Chz because there was some pepper in it, and refused to go to sleep because, even though he is 6, he still sleeps with his mother. My children thought he was nuts. Good times. Good times. So, how was the show? Awesome, I hope! Hopefully next time...
Ahhhh, the 20th. Yes, the 20th. It will be grand. I can feel it right around here. Can you see where I'm pointing? Yeah, right about here. Yeah, there. Oh yeah...yeah. Riiiiight there.
Yay! Show! You should dress up in animal costumes! Justin would be a tiger, Sean would be a fox, Chris would be a dinosaur, Jason would be a lion, and Blake would be a donkey. DO IT!
I fully realize that I am biased, but you guys are by far my favorite band...I am considering losing my job over a Radiohead concert in May...I would willingly lose my everything in order to not miss an (a)ts show at any given moment. Love love love, Nan.
i'm picturing (a)therapeutic smile in nothing more than some sexy red lingere...and tube socks. good times in this sick head of mine...good times. happy valentine's day.
i had a dream last night... (a)therapeutic was there. and al green was there. kirby puckett was there (pre-getting his eye knocked out with a baseball), morrissey was there but that was really strange cuz he was attached at the genitals with johnny marr. also, rob affuso was there. you remember him...he was the orginal drummer in skid row. yeah, that guy. anyway, he was acting like a real bitch, demanding nothing BUT brown m&m's in his dressing room. weird...
anyway, where was i going with all this? oh, yes...the dream.
so kirby puckett starts hitting baseballs at al green, demanding he continue to hit the high note while jump roping the extremly long, connected genitals of morrissey and marr. so there al green is, jump roping morrissey and johnny marr's connected dicks, dodging baseballs when (a)therapeutic looks over at me and ask, "so, do you come here often?"
well, the truth is i don't. but last night...at o'riley's...i did...over and over and over again.
if you backmask marvin gaye's "sexual healing" and listen really closely right around the 2:24 mark you can hear the phrase "(a)therapeutic smile...better than the beatles...oh, and paul's overrated." seriously, give it a listen.
They’d heard it all day – via every media outlet in DFW. In the deep hours of Thursday becoming Friday, water and ice would fall from the sky and when most awoke, the icy glaze of a moment of winter in Texas would coat our streets.
And in certain areas of DFW, this prophecy came to fruition. But things were different in northwest Dallas. Though water and ice had fallen from the sky, there was no glaze, only the mizzly remains of the January shower. Some attributed this to the unpredictability of meteorological and atmospheric conditions.
But there were some (we’ll refer to as The Chosen Few) who knew better. As The Chosen Few who bore witness to the divine magnitude of kick-assery brought unto the house of O’Riley’s by the likes of Chasing February, (a)therapeutic smile, Japan In America and Victory March the night before, they knew, to the depths of their very souls, that no ice could form in an area where the rocking had been so intensely hot just hours before.
And entirely new theories about global warming began . . .
