Atherton's Interests
|
| General | Napping, Greenies, solving crime, yarn, helping disadvantaged cats. I used to like mice, but Miz March frowns on my eating live prey-- gotta keep the lady happy. | | Music | The Chipmunks Christmas Album. Also, I like Irish and Cajun accordion music-- but no polkas. | | Movies | Cats and Dogs, Shrek (all of them), and Police Squad | | Television | The weather channel | | Books | Anything by Melanie Jackson. She often has cats in her stories. Sometimes she throws in a dog and that's okay. I'm not a species bigot. I like to see how the other half lives. | | Heroes | The pussycat who went to sea with that owl. Imagine! They went out on the ocean in an open boat with some honey tied up in a ten pound note. Not sure how any note can weigh ten pounds, but there you are! Things are different in England. |

Atherton's Blurbs |
About me:
I am a cat, a crime-solving cat who has lived four of my nine lives in the Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada foothills. I had no literary inclinations until I began to live with Jillian March. She is a writer and introduced me to the computer which has made writing a great deal easier. I know that most cats don't use computers, but ever since Miz March got hit by lightning I've been able to talk to her and she understands everything I say and has been willing to teach me things. At first she thought she was crazy, but she has adjusted to the idea, and now we are best friends. We volunteer several days a week at our local animal shelter (see blog) where I do translation work for displaced felines. The shelter folk marvel at how well Miz March understands the animals. She just smiles and says she has always been a cat person. I smile too but they can't tell.

Who I'd like to meet:
Puss In Boots-- he's dreamy! And that accent! Also, I have an internet friend in Texas. Loozie is her name. Someday when air travel is less horrible for cats I would like to go to Texas.
