Accompanied by her musicians The Gentlemen : Jim Bland at the Guitar and Tim Croft at the Double Bass, they will give a jazzy bossa nova flavor on the rhythms of tango, Latin and Creole beat done by Drummer and Music Director Daniel Emden, this will be a pure delight!

Athésia made her debut at age 14,
singing for musicals, contests as well as the national holiday events. She went on studying classical singing in college.
She soon realized that traditional academic teaching method was too rigid, which took away her joy of singing. As a result she decided to continue towards the pop music adventure. Soon enough again, she realized that the pop music repertoire was not entirely satisfying either, therefore she took a break.
One year later, she discovered the electronic music scene and freestyle singing. After this breakthrough revelation Athésia started to take singing courses with a jazz teacher at Mc Gill Conservatory of Music, she just loved it! That same year, she started to freestyle with numerous dj of Montreals underground scene.
A modern scat singer was born floating to the rhythms of house, techno, funk, disco, minimal, dub. Experimenting and collaborating on diverse musical and multimedia projects, Athésia was making slowly but surely her place in this urban world.
Its been 4 years that Athésia is fully dedicated to her singing career,
she performed in different clubs and private parties. In 2004, she launched the EP Nostalgia, inspired by fado, tango, bosso nova with a touch of electronic music to the mix. "Nostalgia" made people discover another side of this young talented singer, a world-flavored side.
In 2006 Athésia came back from a 2 months trip in Brazil.
She was invited to perform for the private party of Vogue Magazine at Hotel Unique where she was singing with samba orchestra Vai Vai and with Apollo Nove at the synthetizer. Actor/Singer Seu Jorge and Naomi Campbell where hosting the event.
The destiny of life, during Athésia's trip in Brazil, made her meet people that got totally charmed with her album Nostalgia and offered Athésia to have a feature show of her composition at SESC in Sao Paulo, one of the top places to perform in the country. The night of the event, her show was sold out!
Athésia collaborated with a French composer in a album project that included influences of her journey in Brazil. Gingertonik is pure lounge chic music that is blended with the suave voice of singer Athésia and the music of french composer Chirstopher Ferrer. The two members of this group started their collaboration in december 2005. This project is presently on hold.
In Paris, during the month of November 2006, you could of find Athésia on screen at the Théâtre du Châtelet, featuring in the ''Triple Écran Film'' THESEUS of contemporary artist Khrystell E. Burlin.
In 2007, Athésia was invited to sing in CHINA for the consulate of Canada.
After singing during Canada day in Shanghai with Chinese pianist Max Key, Athésia came back with the desirer to renew with her past and decided to be accompanied in Montreal by musicians. The Dj music scene is on the hold and Athésia & The Gentlemen are on the go.
