Our lyrics express feelings about lost, alienation and about trying to save this what’s still living in us. Live events are our strong side, that's why we're trying to play them as more often as possible.”
Thuoc formed in 1997 influenced by artists like The Cure , Joy Division , Tool , Radiohead , Muse , Depeche Mode , The Doors , Killing Joke, Katatonia and Pink Floyd:
The bands music had a breakthrough in 2003 thanks to Minimax II compilation cd featuring the best unsigned bands, produced by Radio 3 PL and Peter Kaczkovsky – music journalist and notorious VIP. The compilation Minimax II sold over 15000 copies across europe , soon after the track „ You never know „ reached 13th position in the TOP30 playlist including artists like U2, Tina Turner, Leonard Cohen, Seal and others...
In 2004 major alternative/metal recording label METALMIND PRODUCTIONS (Vader, Obituary , Pendragon and others) offered a contract to the band but the offer was refused and Thuoc chose to promote the songs by itself with help small friendly independent label Fugufish. First release „The Liesongs” was in 2005 the band also played promotional gigs / festivals across europe. Next release „ Frail Existence” was in 2006 and then Fugufish.rec stopped working. The band then moved to the Belfast to release/promote new material. In 2007 the band performed at european festivals and played with artists such as „John Young(Scorpions , Bonnie Tyler) and UK Arena.
Up to now Thuoc played over 300 gigs including open air festivals and clubs in europe:

Also the band attracts attention from tv, radio stations , magazines , internet portals and music is featured in programmes in Australia , USA , Poland, Germany, Czech Rep. and UK .
