She finally announces the Birth of "HI-DEF". Her last Album “Religitics” received commendable praise and allowed her to climb an even higher bar with the making of “HI-Def”. Live Shows and Plenty of Promotional Activity driving her to the next level she is able to Kick Off a new project; "HI-DEF" which Drops late summer of 2008.

Hip-hop music, once a platform for creative expression and friendly competition, has sadly, become a popularity contest. Lyrics are no longer pure, so instead of continuous complaining, critics must step up and unleash the knowledge of real life, everyday mishaps with direct heart content. Bringing a spiritual aspect into play only confuses some but others enjoy the new element of pure Christian music.

Atia Evans has quickly established herself as among the most compelling and creative artists of the era, offering a rare combination of complex, thought-provoking lyricism coupled with hot-hot like fire beats.

One of Ohio ’s Top Ten MySpace artists, Atia has a major online presence, with future plans including tours, highlights and concerts to perform left and right. Elsewhere, Atia strays away from her characters to comment on her own outlook on life, an issues that follow you with bad decisions being made. Look no further than one of the tracks entitled “City of Hell,” produced by Atia, beaming with poignant unease: "Like Jay said I gotta make a statement/ Convince the people before they hit the pavement/ I aint makin’ money just for the engagement/ I’m tryin’ to build an army for the arraignment/ I’m drownin’ non believers, like a wave kid/ I guess they’ll start believing me once that age hit” and that’s just a taste of what you’ll hear on the album.

When asked “How far do you think this album will take you?” She replies with “It’s in God’s hands; where he leads I will follow.”

About Atia Evans

Atia was born in Ohio to Pastor George Evans and his wife Sandra. At a very young age she developed an uncanny ability to develop complicated rhyme schemes in the form of poetry. Spending countless hours in her notebook she honed her skills and perfected them. Shortly there after she was introduced to Hip Hop and a spark would soon give way to a fire in her soul.

Atia also found growth in her father's ministry. The constant relocation allowed her to experience life in various parts of the country. These events added multiple dimensions to her writing, giving it wisdom and character. It also enabled her to witness alternate musical styles which she could incorporate in her own identity as a Hip Hop artist. However, being the daughter of responsible parents, who are also devout Christians did prove to be an obstacle. They didn't want "worldly" music to corrupt Atia's spirit.

Atia wouldn't be denied, her pursuit get stronger. If she wasn't writing her own lyrics she was desperately seeking new music and true artists to satisfy her Hip Hop jones. She began freestylin' whenever she could find a circle of emcees and performing at parties in high school for fun. High school was fun, but college was explosive. Stakes were higher and fun became wreckin' the mic for money and bragging rights.

After graduation she returned to her parents home in Cincinnati and found a job teaching, but she felt lost. Atia joined her father's church, Greater Harvest, and was born again in Christ. Her desire for music returned, stronger then ever, and now that she had found GOD, the combination couldn't fail. It was time to make a crucial impact in Hip Hop and dispel the Myths that "rappers" have given to the Hip Hop culture. Now the true Hip Hop Emcee is Born Again.
