We like to bike. We do things that help break down the barriers to biking, like --
Confident City Cycling classes -- to teach you how to ride happily (and that means staying safe out there). Get some skills, learn the rules of the road, then try out your new, confident self in city traffic. Our spring schedule will go online soon.
Request a Bike Rack business cards -- drop one of these off at your favorite coffee spot or local bar to let them know people on bikes need parking too.
Build the Bike Culture -- Monthly Commuter Breakfast (1st Thursday of month, 7-9am at Thumbs Up on Edgewood Ave -- the coffee is free).
Voice -- we advocate for a better biking environment -- things like bike lanes, bike racks, more bike-friendly laws. We also try to make the bad projects go away and the good ones multiply. Sing the bike tune in your neighborhood by joining a Bicycle User Group, our grasstops bike advocates.
Vision -- We're envisioning Velib in Atlanta (http://abcvelibatlanta.blogspot.com/)
Bike Rack Hunt -- We organized into teams, spread out, and hunted them down. All 396 of them. And there are more out there. The locations and types are being coded for mapping. They will pop up in CfPT's Trip Planner when you plan a bike trip. We'll do a quality check and add more parts of town this coming spring!
