About AMO

Atlas Media Online is a collaborative, grassroots media organization publishing news, entertainment, and commentary in the radio, television, and print mediums. AMO began in late 2006 when it's founder, Hank Xavier (Hx), began organizing around an idea for a new multimedia platform. After several brand changes, some setbacks, and various transitions in the development team, Xavier met a sharp and eager young web developer, Corey Moore, and recruited him to partner on creating the platform. Xavier and Moore joined forces and began working in earnest on the project in late 2007, assisting RevereRadio.net with the relaunch of their website in October of 2008, during which time Moore and Hx implemented some of the ideas that would later be found in the AMO platform. In early 2009, Hx and Moore decided that it was time that they venture out on their own and create the AMO website, and so they began building the company in a process of creativity and responsive, dynamic collaboration that continues today.

In spring of 2009, Hx bid for a radio show on Oraclebroadcasting.com, one of the fastest growing radio networks on the internet today. The bid was well received and the network directors soon offered him a 3 hour slot on Saturday mornings. Hx wasted no time in recruiting Corey Moore once again, this time tapping his talents as a political commentator and activist. Together they created "Atlas Radio", the very first AMO production, which has gone on to become a staple of the weekend line up on Oracle, drawing such names as Cindy Sheehan, Michael Badnarik, and Adam Kokesh. But things were soon to change once again when Hx decided it was time for him to expand AMO operations with an additional radio program. After testing a few options, Hx settled into the daily late night slot on Oraclebroadcasting.com which continues today as "The Hx Files". Shortly following the addition of "The Hx Files", Hx was able to recruit the third member of the AMO team, libertarian activist Rob Panico whom Hx chose as his replacement as co-host on Atlas Radio. AMO has since continued to build both the platform and well as the team, bringing on several new staffers, including writers, editors, and field correspondents in late summer of 2009 as well as adding additional programing to the line up.

Our commitment to creating a strong multimedia platform with relevant, informative and entertaining programming continues at Atlas Media Online while every day we are working to bring our listeners and viewers and readers a better experience with higher quality programming and more dynamic and intuitive features. We intend to continue this commitment until AMO becomes the number one name in independent, freedom oriented, media production and broadcasting on the net. Our promise to you is simple, if it's new liberty media, we will bring it to you.
