"My advice to you in your Soccer School is simple - try your hardest, listen to your coaches, but most of all enjoy yourselves. I hope you all have a great time." Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal Football Club, founded in 1886, are one of the most successful clubs in English Football.

They have been the English Champions 13 times, won the FA Cup 10 times and reached the final of the Champions League in 2006. A multi-national team boasting 15 nationalities from Europe, Africa and South America in the first team squad, the North London side are one of Europe's premier teams.

Arsenal also boast the most decorated Womens side in the United Kingdom.

Arsenal Ladies are currently the reigning league champions, having won their eighth title in 2006. They also won the FA Women's Cup seven times, the Women's League Cup eight times, and in 2007 reached the final of the UEFA Women's Cup - the furthest any English women's club has ever got.

Arsenal are fully involved and committed to local community projects such as Atlas Soccer Coaching Ltd. in the Hereford and Worcester area and beyond.

"The Gunners are keen supporters of youth soccer and have a highly successful youth team framework"

The Arsenal Academy is now preparing for it's ninth season, having been one of the first tier of English clubs to gain academy status in 1998.

During its existence the Academy has consistently produced footballers ready for first-team action with both Arsenal and other professional football clubs. Results are certainly not the 'be all and end all' because the Club’s primary concern is player development. The most prominent example of a player progressing through the current system is Ashley Cole, who has established himself as first choice left-back for club and country.

"Arsenal and Atlas Soccer Coaching are committed to providing a football environment that is truly accessible to supporters from all walks of life"

About me:

Atlas Soccer Coaching Ltd work together with Arsenal Soccer Schools to promote youth football development in the Hereford and Worcester region.

Atlas introduce children from the age of five to 13 years old to a professional soccer coaching environment. They offer courses that are positive and enriching, but at the same time fun and affordable.

Atlas is jointly run by Michael Jackson and John Brough. They both hold the FA Level Two coaching qualifications. Brough has also attained his Level Three and is currently working towards his A Licence.

Michael and John have been involved in professional and semi-professional football for over 30 years. Their coaching experience has been gained working together with Premier Sports Coaching (in association with Arsenal Football Club), Weston Super Mare Academy and League One club Cheltenham Town.

Michael has been involved in football both professionally and semi-professionally for over 10 years. Starting at Cheltenham Town his career has included spells with Swansea City, Weston Super Mare.

His coaching experience has been developed over the past five years including roles at the academy at Weston Super Mare as well as Premier Sports Coaching in conjunction with Arsenal Football Club.

John has been involved in the game for 16 years. Starting at Notts County, his career has included stints at Shrewsbury, Hereford United, Cheltenham Town, Aldershot and currently Newport County. He is the captain of the Welsh side.

John's coaching CV, which he has put together over the past couple of years comprises his current role at League One side Cheltenham Town in addition to Premier Coaching together with Arsenal.

Both Michael and John have experienced the highs and lows of coaching, which have enabled them to gain invaluable experience. They are consistently looking to improve the standard of training they provide to ensure they offer the highest standard of coaching and technical knowledge.

"We are now enjoying the opportunity to pass on our experience and knowledge to the next generation," said John.

Both coaches have realised their ambitions in passing their FA Levels One and Two coaching qualifications. John meanwhile has attained his Level Three and is currently working towards his A Licence.

Michael, who is currently the club captain at Cirencester Town said: "Atlas Soccer Coaching Ltd actively promote a relaxed learning environment where social, moral and technical development is encouraged".

"We take our involvement in football within the community very seriously," he added.

There are two key areas that Atlas offer to boys and girls and both concepts have a vital role to play in a child’s development. These are split between the soccer ‘holiday’ format, which are courses run during school holidays, and the Academy/Advanced centres - courses run after school days placing greater emphasis on technical and tactical awareness.

And starting soon, the coaches will also be running the 'Young Gunz Club' every Saturday morning. Children will be able to extend their training and apply their skills within small-sided games. There will be a number of prizes and certificates to be won, so if you are interested in finding out more please get in touch with the coaches.

We're running a short survey to gauge how optimistic fans feel about the forthcoming season, how you rate your manager, players and what you thought of the teams style of play towards the end of last season.

The survey is just 5 questions long and will only take a moment to complete. If you could forward the link to anyone you think would like to take part that would be much appreciated.

Many thanks for your support
