ATMORAVI was born in the middle of 70s in Minsk, USSR. Was awaken to music by the family custom to sing and play. Studied chello for 5 years. Heavily influenced by The Beatles, Dire Straits and russian band Aquarium. Started to write songs at the age of 15 when got his first guitar. First 4-track recording was done in 96 in St.-Petersburg. in 1992 took sannyas from OSHO, an enlightened master and that was a begginning of a new life. In 1997 founded together with his brother Moksha a band called Arigato. The band recorded a bunch of songs and performed rather infrequently. Last recording was made in 2001. In 2002 Moksha left his body due to a tragic accident in Krym, Ukrain on the Black Sea. Since then atmoravi is a solo artist. In september 2004 the record called "WEED" or "chertopolox" was released in Minsk, Belarus.
It was well recieved by critics by the likes of ROLLING STONE, Moscow and FUZZ, St.-Petersburg with radio stations of Belarus picking up songs for the airplay.
The following two years were spent in promoting the record by touring and making two "acoustic" records WHITE GOLD and ON THE LINE aside preparing the second studio record for it's WEST RECORDS of Minsk release.
The new record called ROMANTIKA is released by West Records, Minsk in October 2006. It includes 12 songs and few extras: video for EFIR, remix on CHANCE and an acoustic live recording. The record is proclaimed to be one of the 4 best records produced in Belarus in 2006. Song "Therefore" is gathering international audience while being played over Pipeline Radio, UK.
