About me:

Atmosphere is an alternative Brisbane Nightclub held in Brisbane, Queensland. Our next event will be at The Jubilee Hotel, 470 St Pauls Terrace, Fortitude Valley. The Club is run by Emma, Jeff & Oscar, ejo promotions. Atmosphere is a fun & relaxed Alternative Nightclub for people who enjoy the dark & indie sounds of the past & present. We specialise in the Dark Side, playing the traditional Gothic Favourites, as well as Industrial, Punk, Manchester, Electronica, Synth Pop, Dark Wave, Indie, Brit Pop, Manchester, OZ Rock, Swamp, Trash 80s, 90s, Hair Metal, Doom Metal, Cyber Punk and your requests. Atmosphere prides itself on playing a variety of dark hits at each Club and the DJs will keep you dancing all night with a fun & interesting set list, including your requests! We exist to offer alternatives to go out to and we are daring enough to play anything we have that you want to hear. Atmosphere is about socialising & having a fun night out in a safe, welcoming, friendly & comfortable setting. Dressing up is certainly most welcome & bound to win you prizes, of course, but not compulsory. :) The venues we use have plasma screens with movies & film clips showing during the night (& Formula 1 when the timing is right!!! :D), air conditioning, sofas & chill out zones, comfy décor, friendly door staff & security and friendly and fun bar staff and management. Atmosphere has one main DJ who has the knowledge and experience to play a wide range of alternative music in one night and each night is different, varied and fun. :) Atmosphere features Local Bands as well as Special Events tailored towards the underground. Atmosphere endeavours to create that feeling of nostalgia & reminiscing back to the good old days of the 80s & 90s. Atmosphere generally does stray from the traditional nightclub concept, with the night being more of a celebration of the dark side and showcases that talent, genius and underground brilliance. We tailor towards an older crowd, but definitely welcome babybats too and anyone who appreciates dark alternative music, from both the past & present!!! We also pride ourselves on being Brisbane's only alternative club that celebrates the traditional Goth & Swamp Music from the past. ***We are currently looking for a Door Person, street team members to promote events and a regular photographer and performers. Spend the last night of the first decade of the new centuary in comforatble surrounds, with the best music played by Brisbane's best alternative DJ's, DJ Jeff and DJ Emma, mixing the best of Gothic, Industrial, Punk, Swamp, trash 80's and of course, your requests(if we have them) We will also be paying special mention to the stars we lost this year such as Michael Jackson, and Patrick Swazie with a midnight screaning of Thriller and Dirty Dancing on the screen. A night to celebrate and party like its 2009. Remember it is only two more new year's eve clebrations till the year the world ends (2010 to 2011 and 2011 to 2012 then the Mayans say we will all be gone) so make the most of it.
