Surviving a challenging upbringing in his hometown (Indianapolis, Indiana), Anthony
Montgomery defied the odds, put himself through college and received his Bachelor of
Science in Performance Theatre and Drama from Ball State University (Muncie,
Indiana). Following college, he relocated to Chicago, Illinois where he sang in an R&B
group until the group disbanded. He then moved back to Indianapolis and tried his hand
at stand-up comedy. Although he gained moderate success doing comedy, his love of
acting and desire to put his degree to use in Hollywood forced him to relocate again.
Shortly after arriving in California, Montgomery landed a national Tommy Hilfiger
modeling job. After learning how things work behind the camera as a production assistant
for various shows, Montgomery was ready to take position in front of the camera. He
appeared on numerous television shows including “J.A.G.,” “Charmed” and “Frasier”
before landing his “big break” as recurring guest star George Austin on the hit WB
television series, “Popular.” Immediately following the show’s cancellation,
Montgomery landed a series-regular role as Ensign Travis Mayweather on the Paramount
Pictures television series, “Star Trek: Enterprise.” Taking some time off from the
entertainment industry following Enterprise's untimely end, he got back into the game
landing the lead role in the multi-award winning independent feature film, “I'm Through
with White Girls (The Inevitable Undoing of Jay Brooks).” The Romantic Comedy
(whose title was shortened to “I’m Through with White Girls”) was picked up by Image
Entertainment and given a limited theatrical run in various US cities, before having a
nationwide DVD release August 12, 2008. Spotted in the Indy film, Montgomery was
cast as the co-lead in the independent feature film, “Why Am I Doing This?” (This film
is currently being submitted to film festivals.)
A man of many talents, Montgomery signed a record deal with German based record label, AGR Television Records and has released his first Hip Hop album, titled “A.T”, which is being distributed by Universal Music Group. The album was released internationally October 17, 2008 and is live on iTunes and Rhapsody in the US and Canadian markets NOW. Get your copy today!!
