Hello, thanks for checking out our myspace page! It's an exciting time for AT. We've been meeting heaps of new people who are genuinely excited about independent music from bands that are all about their message and songs rather than the production line B.S. that saturates commercial radio. If you would like to know more about us, check out more songs and videos, blogs and a bunch of other cool stuff head on over to our website www.atband.com. Cheers and thanks for stopping by! .. "Well-travelled musician homes in on his guitar heroes: Brisbane guitarist and vocalist Andrew Thomas, who's given his initials for the Google-defying band AT, spent some seven years overseas learning a few things about life and turning them into songs. Coming back about three years ago, he assembled AT as a way of building on that material, with a couple of EPs ultimately leading to this debut album. For the record, he identifies mostly with '90s acts ranging from the Foo Fighters and Alice In Chains to Jeff Buckley. And you can hear degrees of these in the confident, toughened surge of tracks like Checkmate and Under Fire. But there's a more classic rock mould in this band's sound too, encapsulating some of the guitar-god bands of the '80s but stretching back to the '70s as well (Thomas also marks as influences Metallica, Guns N'Roses and AC/DC). You can hear this in tracks like Say It Again and Promised Land. There's even room for a quieter mood in Lighten Up My Way before leaping back (as one song puts it) Into The Fray. So if you like a band that's firmly anchored in rock's heritage but updates it with plenty of chug and swagger, this is where it's, er, at.".. ..Bill Holdsworth – Rave Magazine.. .."AT have released that certain type of disc that on first listening grabs your senses and demands attention. …'Elevated' is just what we need at this moment; it's innovative, fresh and well up there with the best of any chart band's efforts… AT deserve far greater exposure, both within Australia and outside, as this is a band with a 'sound', tight musicianship and great production.
