Artvoice July 13, 2006 review:With the release of this lovely, two-sided piece of vinyl, Buffalo's La Cacahouette elegantly display why they are one of the leading lights of the Queen City's underground music scene. The trio has taken the right cues from shoegazing stalwarts like My Bloody Valentine and Lush and ably managed a deft balancing act of ethereal melodies and distorted but beautiful noise. "Cocaine Unicorn" is perfect lesson in dark beauty as Gerald Thomas' guitar slinks from pretty lines to menacing over Pepper Ochsner Thomas' sleepy-eyed vocals. An eerie organ break and pulsing synth comes in halfway through to add wonderfully ominous tension to it all. "Help is Automatic" is heavy and anthemic with a cascading sheen. Let me add that Left of the Dial is always happy to see bands that value in investing in the warm sound and cool sleeve offered by the under appreciated 7" record format. Slug and Lettuce - Issue 85 review:
Lemuria "s/t" 7" - "This is rocking melodic punk with an indie feel to it. The music is poppy and super energetic. The dual male / female vocals are both perfect for the music. They compliment eachother well as the male vocals are rougher and slightly off key (in a good way) and the females are pretty and melodic. Here is the part of the review where i compare them to other bands that if Lemuria ever reads this will either anger or humor them. To me they sound a bit like Superchunk meets Rainer Maria. The lyrics are about love, relationships and both going wrong. It's a catchy and upbeat (musically if not lyrically) 7" that is so worth checking out."

Team Chocolate -S/T 7"
Team Chocolate is the ultra catchy creation of singer/songwriter duo Sheena Ozzella and Eric Ellman. They are from the gloomy Buffalo, NY and play lo-fi, acoustic bedroom pop with sugary melodies about love, loss, and longing. The insert is a cut and paste style zine filled with lyrics and photos that resembles a scrapbook of their time making the record. The overall package looks great. My only complaint is that this is merely a 7" and not an LP. I'm interested to see what Team Chocolate does next.
