We are a full line music retail store specializing in guitars and fretted instruments; we stock band and orchestra equipment and accessories as well. Atom Heart Music also carries acoustic and electronic drums, instrument amps and effects, PA and recording gear, books, used vinyl and CDs, cables/connectors, as well as a variety of music accessories and support items.
We have new and used gear, and welcome trades. In addition to retail sales and rentals, Atom Heart Music offers consignment sales, repairs and service, lessons, and practice rooms.
AHM is currently an Authorized Dealer of Fender Guitars and Amplifiers,Schecter, Line 6, Yamaha Guitars, Drums & Pro Audio, Guild, Jackson, Gretsch, SWR, Hughes & Kettner, Phonic, Boomerang, Fishman, My Star Sound Audio Cables.
Rather than boasting a warehouse inventory of everything under the sun supported by a specialized army of salespeople and office workers, complete with cut-to-the-bone prices and absolutely no service whatsoever, AHM opts instead for an old school approach. Experienced musicians cover all aspects of the business. This means you talk to someone who actually plugs in and tries the gear you are inquiring about; it means the person you talk to when you drop off your instrument with specific instructions will be involved in the repair; it means the person you place an order with on the phone will actually place the order (not send the info to an order department); it means when you come in and your consignment instrument sold, you walk out with a check in hand.
But, above and beyond the knowledge and efficiency that accompanies a hands-on approach to daily operations, AHM enhances this with something equally as important— enthusiasm and initiative. We genuinely enjoy helping people find the answers to their musical questions. We also tenaciously look for answers we don’t have.
Every musician’s or music student’s situation is unique. Certain equipment may be better suited for some situations than others. It’s exceptionally easy to spend far more than necessary to suit one’s needs, and it’s even easier to purchase an absolutely perfect instrument or piece of gear for the wrong situation. It should be reassuring to know that the person you are talking to is honestly interested in understanding the particulars of YOUR situation, before making a recommendation based upon hearing that information. A great price that’s unsuited for your needs turns out “not so great a deal”. Getting the product that BEST FITS YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES at a good price—now that’s a great deal!
