**In April of 2004, Christopher B. Elser, a college junior, was attacked by an intruder in his fraternity house at the Johns Hopkins University. Chris later passed away in the cardiac unit of the Maryland Heart Center from the wounds he sustained in the attack. This horrific and tragic event robbed Chris' family and friends of one of the most magnetic, outgoing, kind and joyful presences in their lives. Chris was an athlete, a leader, a brother, son and friend to all. In order to preserve the memory of Chris' spirit, several of his friends, with the support of the Elser family, have founded the Christopher B. Elser Memorial Fund in his honor.
