I ATOMIC ANDY aka Andy Freedman am a RAPPER Musician and Writer I LOVE Rap and also have written some Rock songs when I rap I'm known as Atomic Andy I LOVE Jay Z,LiL Wayne,Ludacris,Nelly,Eminem,but I got into rap back in the day Ice T.,Public Enemy,N.W.A.,3rd Bass,and Hammer were the first rappers I listened to it was 1989 when I first heard two guys freestyle rapping and I was hooked, "Atomic Lyrical Explosion" a song of mine is on the Newarkilly Mixtape it was put out by the Production company Newarkilly
In 2006 I was an alternate in the Unisong International Songwriting competition’s Hip-Hop and R&B category I was also a runner up in Songoftheyear.com’s April 2009 contest when I entered a Rap-Rock song of mine I wrote “NewDay” I also was a runner up again with Songoftheyear.com for another song of mine back in 2006 "NewDay" has Electric Guitars and Drums it's me rhyming over a Rock sound while Hip-Hop is my first love I also have always admired bands like U2,BonJovi and lyric writers like Bob Dylan so it was fun to combine Rap and Rock
I USE SONY CREATIVE SOFTWARE TO MAKE MY MUSIC THE SONY COMPANY AND I LOVE THEM FOR IT PROVIDE ROYALTY FREE BEATS,GUITAR LICKS,AND DRUMS LEGALLY ANYONE WHO BUY'S THE DISC CAN USE THE SOUNDS TO CREATE THEIR OWN MUSIC AND THEN COPYRIGHT THEIR NEWLY CREATED SONGS AS THERE OWN besides music I also write screenplays I went to the Screenwriting Expo sponsored by Creative ScreenWriting Magazine in L.A. back in 2006 and I also was a Quarterfinalist in Scriptapalooza’s Reality TV competition for a Reality TV show idea of mine
I’ve always been creative as a kid I could read 100 page books by the time I was 9.But I couldn't sit still very long I was hyperactive And for some reason eventhough I write great songs I never did very well on standardized tests. Remember the tv show from back in the day "Saved by the Bell." I used to joke that if you combined Zach and Screech,you'd have me .I was smart and an odd ball like Screech.But I was as cool and as smooth as Zack Morris.If Zack was a good writer,he'd have been me.
I went to about 4 or 5 different schools in the Chicago area eventually I left the Chicago area and actually finished up Highschool at a co-ed,boarding school out in Vermont. A boarding school with girls is the only type of boarding school I would go toLOL It was there at the PineRidge school out in Williston,Vermont,that I graduated High school and was accepted to Adelphi University out on LongIsland NewYork A High school I never set foot in in the Chicago area also has me on their list of graduates I graduated from Adelphi University out on LongIsland,NewYork with a B.A. in History I enjoyed my time in NewYork eventhough I’m back home in Chicago

This first shows Black Angel a few years ago outside our studio in Santa Barbara with (left to right in picture): Ronnie Turner (bass player and son of Ike and Tina Turner); Cory Orosco, keyboards; Ernie Orosco, guitar; me on lead vocals and guitar; and in the front drummer, Tina Stefens. The second photo shows the second Black Angel line up with (clockwise from the top) Tedy Madl, drums; Heather Wynalda, percussion and vocals; Dave Parker, bass; and me in the front with a guitar on lead vocals and guitar. Black Angel has had a number of different musicians, but the band moves ahead with two new albums scheduled for release in 2009 and a nationwide tour. Best wishes.
