This band was originally formed in March of 2008 by founding band member and leader of the group Eddie Black. As an experienced performer, songwriter and musician Eddie has decided to fully live his passion for music as well as locating and taking other talented people with him in a pursuit to live their dream, thus the creation of Atomic Aura.
Atomic Aura is a rock/alternative band based in Calgary Alberta, Canada. Atomic Aura is an optimistic group with passion and dedication to their music. Atomic Aura is fronted with a male vocalist singing powerful and emotional lyrics. The band has energizing music that you will enjoy listening to. With catchy melodies, driving bass/guitar riffs and a pounding beat that will keep you rockin'! Atomic Aura is an entertaining band to hear and see.
On April 12th, 2008 the band passed an audition to enter a $100,000 Star Search Contest hosted by a local Calgary Radio "Station 98.5 FM located at the Tantra Nightclub and Lounge.
Atomic Aura moved forward in the $100,000 Star Search Contest in May of 2008 and performed in the contest finals at one of Calgary’s largest clubs; Cowboys. Atomic Aura made it to the semi-finals in the contest and received outstanding reviews and positive feedback from all the judges in attendance, including a representative from Universal Music.
June 2009, Atomic Aura competed in the city of Calgary at Cowboys nightclub star finals. After several rounds of performances, the band found themselves faced with the winning title. As a result Atomic Aura will open for a major act during the Calgary Stampede.
This band has been getting positive feedback from day one. The band’s plan is to achieve success as a group by continued hard work in their music. Atomic Aura is very dedicated and professional in their passion for music and their drive to share it with as many people as they can.
