Our own Debz has had the pleasure of performing for top musician and member of 'Yes' RICK WAKEMAN plus an event for the cast of BBC1's EASTENDERS (to name a few!). Not content with being Musical director and band leader, drummer / percussionist Derek Bisset, lends his considerable ability & power to this already formidable line up. A real professional, his track record is highly impressive (& interminably lengthy!) with such an accomplished musician in charge the inevitable result is the UK's premier 'Blondie' tribute show. After an extensive apprenticeship in clubs, ocean lines & massage parlours, bassist Paul Guy has attained a level of competence that ideally suits a Blondie tribute band. With his roots now firmly in the Cardiff area his consistently solid backing has enabled 'Atomic Blondie' to confidently produce the unique feel of the 'Blondie' line. Just wait till you hear the bass solo of Atomic! .. .. Aidan Bradley .. Keyboards and Backing Vocals. The Newest member of our Team, Tom is a classically trained musician, multi-instrumentalist and composer. His main instrument is of course Piano/Keyboards, which he studied at the Wales National Conservatoire alongside Music Technology. Tom has had many years experience playing as a session/live musician playing in different cover/tribute bands as well as original acts in the UK and in Europe.     A very professional band with a great stage presence.
    Never actually seen Blondie live, but I'm sure these guys are the next best thing!
    Thoroughly commited to giving everyone a GREAT night.
    Feedback from over 400 people has been A1.
    Debz, Derek & the rest of the guys even took time out for pics, with what I'm sure was nearly everyone :-) even though they had a 235 miler trip back to Wales.

THE SHOW:

The Show features all the classic hits plus trademark Debbie Harry costumes, including the famous 'Bin Liner Outfit' and 'Vulture Tee' as seen in the video for Atomic. The band have studied Blondie in great detail to recreate the next best thing and make their tribute as authentic as possible.
Including the hits Heart of Glass, Sunday Girl, Maria, Tide is High, Rapture, Hanging on the Telephone, Denis, Dreaming, Rip Her to Shreds, One Way or Another and many more, including recent versions from Blondie's 'Live By Request' TV Show in the USA.

Paul Guy - Bass Guitar
Bassist Paul Guy has attained a level of competence that ideally suits this ace tribute band. With his roots now firmly in the Cardiff area his consistently solid backing has enabled AB to confidently produce the unique feel of the Blondie line. His attention to detail is very impressive and his professionalism and dedication means he has been a founder member of AB. His passion for music is clear - you wait 'til you hear the bass solo in Atomic! Now with his own fan club too! Not to be Missed.

Ben Ricketts - Lead Guitar
Ben studied contemporary/popular music performance in London and has plenty of live performance experience in theatre, pubs, clubs and weddings. He started off having drum lessons with Derek at 15 but even though a great drummer, he realised that the guitar was where his passion was. Ben doesn’t like plectrums! His influences are Martin Taylor, Jeff Beck & Scotty Anderson. You don’t wanna miss this slick & smooth operator & his attention to detail! You might even catch him playing the guitar over the back of his head or maybe even with his teeth!

Aidan Bradley - Keyboards and Backing Vocals
Introducing the newest (and youngest!) member - Aidan is a self taught singer/songwriter who loves what he does and enjoys the challenges that playing in Atomic Blondie gives him as an instrumentalist. He has been singing and playing the piano since the age of 13 and has also taught himself other instruments including the guitar and drums. A musician with very broad taste, Aidan takes in and absorbs all the best bits of music from across the genres and plays the part of Blondie's legendary keyboard player/backing vocalist Jimmy Destri like a true pro re-creating those famous solos in Call Me and Tide is High like he caught them the first time around!

Aled Williams - Rhythm Guitar
Our 6th member of AB - Aled joins us on back-to-back gigs, double-headers and festivals with our sister band Money For Nothing. Aled, one of our original members, is proud to be a part of AB's talented musicians. Every performer adopts a style and technique that is invariably drawn from familiarity with that of a mentor/idol, in Aled Williams' case this is undoubtedly Mark Knopfler. His style is perfect for the Blondie tribute band and this young man's ability to recreate the rhythm guitar work in Blondie is beyond compare. All the band have studied Blondie in great detail to re-create 'the next best thing'. Fans both male & female are always more then impressed by his talent!
