Français : AtOmsk est un groupe français né en avril 2008. Il s’agit d’un projet musical qui mêle avec éclectisme des genres divers et variés tels que rock, jazz, métal, funk, disco, ou encore folk, les influences du groupe variant constamment au gré des découvertes et des coups de cœur des membres.
L’univers musical d’AtOmsk rejoint plus largement une esthétique d’inspiration Steampunk. Le Steampunk au sens large du terme s’applique à des œuvres possédant une ambiance proche d’un XIXe siècle de fantaisie, caractérisé entre autres par les technologies exagérées de la révolution industrielle : roues dentées, machines à vapeur, leviers, zeppelins... AtOmsk a repris à son compte cet imaginaire, qui se retrouve notamment dans les costumes (inspiration du style néo-victorien), la mise en scène (utilisation d’accessoires et théâtralité), ainsi que dans les thématiques musicales (Dance in the zeppelin, pour ne citer qu’un titre).
English : AtOmsk are a French band created in April 2008. This eclectic musical project mixes up rock, jazz, metal, funk, disco, or even folk... and way much more along with the members’ musical discoveries and crushes. AtOmsk’s world most widely rejoins a Steampunk inspired aesthetic.
Steampunk, in its broad meaning, can apply to any piece of art having an atmosphere close to a XIXth century of fantasy, characterized, among all, by some exaggerated technologies of the First Industrial Revolution: cogwheels, steam machines, zeppelins…
AtOmsk made this imaginary Steampunk world theirs, either in their costumes (of neo-Victorian inspiration), or in the stagecraft (with the use of accessories and dramatization), as well as in the themes of their songs (their track Dance in the zeppelin, for instance).

Synopsis
Automne 1896, dans le quartier de Montmartre, une charmante demoiselle fait face à deux gentilshommes en habit du soir. Seule la lueur des lampadaires éclaire leurs visages dans l'atmosphère brumeuse de la butte dans laquelle ils échangent quelques politesses. Ambre Carlyle, veuve et riche héritière d'une industrie de zeppelins, se tient sous son ombrelle pour protéger de la pluie son habit de feu. Tsurai, espiègle croqueur d'âmes et de visages mondains lui remémore la première nuit où ils s'étaient rencontrés. Meiji 8, énigmatique botaniste venu d'Amsterdam, ami d'enfance de ce dernier et instigateur de cette entrevue, sourit.
Cependant à quelques pas de là, indifférents à l'insouciance de ces jeunes gens, deux yeux guettent. Un regard profond teinté de la mélancolie d'un drame passé et des mains gantées de noir : Oscar Scorgone, pianiste de son état se joindra bientôt à eux. Mais que recherche-t-il?
Et à des centaines de kilomètres de là, dans les plaines enneigées de sa froide Prusse, qu'a donc Reinhart Ancerl en commun avec ces individus, lui simple mécanicien et alchimiste secret à ses heures perdues?
Tandis que là-haut dans le ciel, un ancien espion de Sa Majesté reconverti en impitoyable pirate de l'air ne tardera pas à croiser le chemin d'une atypique expédition...
La quête du sombre artefact ne fait que débuter.
October 1896, in the Montmartre of Paris, a charming young lady is facing two gentlemen in tuxedos. Only the dim light of the street lanterns lights up their faces in the foggy atmosphere of the hilltop where they are exchanging polite remarks.
Ambre Carlyle, widow and rich heir of the zeppelin industry, unfolds her parasol to protect her fiery clothing from the rain. Tsurai, a roguish painter of souls and mundane faces recalls their first evening of discussions. Meiji 8, enigmatic botanist from Amsterdam, a childhood friend of Tsurai's and instigator of this meeting, is sneering.
However, not far from where they stand, indifferent to the carefree laughs, two eyes are gazing from the darkness. A profound look and black gloved hands :
Oscar Scorgone, the pianist, will soon join them. But, what is he looking for?
And hundreds of miles away, in the snowy plains of cold Prussia, what links these individuals to Reinhart Ancerl, a young mechanic and pastime student of alchemy.
While up in the skies, a former spy of Her Majesty has trained himself as a merciless air pirate whom will soon cross the path of this unusual journey...

mes chéris, je viens de vous écouter sur Aligre... ne le prenez pas mal, mais il vous manque un violon, vraiment! je trouve que le violon faisait un pont entre le piano d'un côté et le reste des instruments de l'autre... là, ça semble un peu boiteux... en revanche pour l'interview, merci! c'était frais, marrant, et aussi très fantasmatique! (vous étiez vraiment nus dans le studio? et j'ai raté ça?)
