We are an alternative based rock band. You will see bits of punk, happy hardore, post hardcore, screamo, straight forward rock, progressive, pop-rock, and even acoustic. You will see all five members contribute to vocals at some point. Our lyrics will always have a meaning and are Christian based.

About At Rifts End(GOT THIRD AT THE BATTLE OF THE BANDS)
In the middle of January 2008 was when Josh, Taylor, and Tyler had the first band practice in Taylor's basement. Somewhere in March of that year was when they decided to call themselves At Rifts End, the name stands for getting past the rough times in your life and starting over again. The band didn't know back then that in the summer of 09, the meaning of their name would apply so much to the band and their struggles.
The five piece alternative rock band in Illinois is stronger than ever and wanting more. Since Haleigh and Austin joined the band in October of 08, they have been going strong since. Surprising people every show for their talent and hard work. In a band, you will have bumps in the road, and ARE has experienced that and it only has made them stronger.
ARE as we know it started a year ago... And this is just the beginning, they trust God will make it work, and they trust the fans to support them all the way.

Haleigh- Lead vocals that draw comparison to Haley Williams, giving a complete alternative feel that makes you want more. She writes about 70% of the lyrics and comes up with guitar parts.
Josh- Rhythm and lead guitar. Is responsible for the alternative and punk feel to ARE. Lead and Backup vocalist, comes up with the majority of the guitar riff's, contributes to about 5% of the lyrics.
Taylor- The drummer. Known for using his kick pedal in unique ways and using every drum he has to it's full ability. Lead and backup vocalist, and screamer. He writes the other 25% of the lyrics.
Tyler- Lead and rhythm guitars. Provides the heavier sound of ARE. Screamer, who makes you get chills when he steps up to the mic. Plays occasinal bass when Austin is busy with keyboards.
Austin- Bassist and Keyboard player. He is known for his perfect pitch ear. He learned how to play bass and keyboard in less than a year and is full of talent. Provides a rock and experimental feel.

Agh it was supposed to be major but nothing really. We were going to add new members but we found out the commitment wouldn't be there and such. We still want a rythem but jim will be the only front guy from now on, were basing our music more on the screams instead of sings, like a miss may I thing....so we'll see where that takes us. So what prizes did u win from the show????

hey guys and gril :) i am personally writing you and congratulating you on your win, you should have gotton first, i was so sick of heering pop bands i was gonna shoot myself in the head, and beeing there since 9 didnt help any! we would love to play with yous sometime soon if your up for it :) not sure if yous saw us or not either we played 925 main stage.
