Atrocious Abnormality is a brutal death metal band from Kings Mountain, N.C., formed in Feb. 2006 by Brent Williams, former drummer of such bands as Lust of Decay, Putrilage, Chaosego and more, and Steve Green of Lust of Decay and Comatose Music. After a month or so James O'Neal from Apotheosys was recruited for the bass duties, which he handles quite well!
After about a year and a half of writing Atrocious Abnormality entered Sound Lab Studios in Columbia S.C. with engineer Bob Moore in July 2007 to begin recording of the debut full length album "Echoes of the Rotting". Shortly after the album was released on Halloween 2007. With a couple of studio sessions left for mix and mastering, Atrocious Abnormality hooked up with Russ Hardin of the eastern N.C. band Grotesque Butchery. After one practice(due to his super fast learning), he was inducted into the second guitarist role, making the total sound of Atrocious Abnormality's live shows alot more powerful and brutal! And also adding a new depth to the bands writing style, which has yet to be unleashed!
The debut album has been getting many great reviews from respected outlets such as SOD magazine, UnholyCult zine, Slam-Minded blog, and Divine Torture webzine just to name a few. Promo copies are still being sent out! So alot more reviews and interviews to come. And with the good reviews, come alot of show offers! The band is playing as many annual death/metalfests that they can, Mayhem in May, NC Deathfest, and The Central Illinois Metalfest are a few of the shows coming up. Atrocious will also be hitting the road to tour in support of the debut release. More info on that to come!

BIO UPDATE
During the late months of 2008 Russ left the band on good terms due to personal reasons. During the month of October, we recruited Jeremy Shaffer from the band Bile Nephrosis to replace Russ. He quickly learned the music and played some of our last shows in 2008 including the Goregrowlers Ball and the NC Deathfest. We have been taking the winter months training Jeremy up on the songs from the CD, as well as writing for the new album. We will hopefully have some new demo songs up soon for all of you to check out! Thanks to everyone for the continued support!
