That's what I'm talking about.
Attack of the Giant Nuts - The Musical Terror from Beyond Outer Space is a rock'n'roll stage musical written for the Hunger Artists Theater Company in Fullerton, CA. The show is a loving parody of 50's sci-fi films, earnest, grave, and tremulously treading toward the dread of a future with no respect for the powers of science and little regard for the wisdom of humanity.
Updated for the 21st century, Attack of the Giant Nuts considers our current age of apathy and a feeling of powerlessness in the face of a hijacked government; the feeling that we fell asleep and woke up in a world of mindless zombies, following along with no real leader, all in lock-step, towards a direction no one really sees or even believes in; all while we seem to be heading over a very steep and dark cliff. But it's all in fun.
The music is a tapestry of rock, pop and punk styles, all very tongue-in cheek, reflecting the overall tone of the show, while still kicking ass. The songs here are demos recorded while the show is in the planning stages.
The show opened October 12 and is rockin' and rollin'. Get reservations now at http://hungerartists.com/ Don't miss out! Buy a T-shirt! See it with someone you trust. Lots of them.
And remember: STAY AWAKE! THEY GET YOU WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP!
