Rooted for 8 years in the Long Island scene is the band Attempt At Perfection. Originally known as the Free Refills, their blend of Punk, Metal, Rock, Pop, Prog, and many other styles is quickly building a new look and a new hope for the scene in New York. After undergoing many lineup changes for 6 of the 8 years the band has finally rooted its lineup, Chris Donovan on Guitar and Vocals, Peter Dragone on Drums, Mike Fiorillo on Guitar, and the newest member Frank Milito on Bass and Vocals. The band has been working on an array of promising new songs having just released their Debut cd(under the name and sound of Attempt At Perfection) "Psalms for the Broken" on December 3rd, 2005. The album is a strong representation of the band's old and new material with a eye on the future of the band at all times. Currently touring Long Island to build a stronger base at home look for AAP on the road this summer and look out for some new tunes that may not be featured on the cd, including the title track(which didnt make it on time for the cd) "Psalm of the Broken"
