Attention! All Shipping are a Post Rock / Folk three-piece from
South / East London. They are currently mixing a self-produced six-
track mini album.
They are:
Sam Willard—vocals / acoustic guitar / piano
Mark Beacock—electric guitar / effects / bow
Dave Millar—Drums
Sam, commercial refusenik, broke up his band of eight years—Coast—when
Madonna’s ex-producer tried to lure him to a chateaux in the South of
France to “shape his choruses”.
Mark, meanwhile had honed his skills with five Rastas and a Frenchman
in East London’s finest Ska covers band, hung out with 4AD, played
at Big Chill and entered a battle of the bands that saw him pitted against
The Darkness.
Dave’s the drummer. Dave makes electronic music as Conbrio and
is also one half of Fence Collective associates Love. Stop. Repeat.
Attention! All Shipping played the recent V&A festival in South
Kensington, and three Routemasters drove past.
The band’s influences range from Scott Walker, Red House Painters and
Jeff Buckley to The Cure and all the Wainwrights. They sound nothing
like any of these.
We wanted to update you on what's going on in The Guilty Hands, as these are exciting times. If you haven't already heard, we've been awarded £15,000 to record an album by users of www.slicethepie.com - a new way of funding music by fans.
Martin has been filming a video blog about the making of the album - Click here to go our myspace blog and view the latest clip. If you like it, please subscribe, because there'll be a lot more.
Hi there, London friend... here are the details of our gig next week. We got a great response and good turnout at the Miller to our new songs and new style, so we're really hoping to repeat the trick. We're really trying to build a live following, and we can promise you that we'll be putting all our energy into rewarding your faith in us.

Hi there, we're playing the Camden Barfly this Thursday on a bill featuring Minus IQ and our friends Attention All Shipping. We're on very early - 7. 30 - so why not come along for a post-work gig? Venue: Fox and Firkin, Lewisham Onstage time: 9. 45 (then Djs till late) Map: click here Entry: £4 Flyers and further information: www.killscreen.co.uk
Hey there, We just thought we'd let you know we wrote and recorded a brand new song over Christmas. It's called "Guilty Hands" - and if you want to know what it's about, try googling "desire and the black masseur"... We're giving the song away FREE in conjunction with Artrocker - click here to download the track (no obligation, no mailing list sign-up, just free music).
Hello London friend, We're playing this Friday 20th February at the Miller in London Bridge. We'll be onstage at 8:15 (quite early) and it'll cost £5 with a flyer - get one here.
For directions, stick SE1 3SS into google maps and you'll be fine :) If you want to enter the draw to get a space on the guestlist, email theguiltyhands@gmail.com with your name and you'll be put in the hat.
Hi there, we're playing the "Hits Of The New Future" night at Catch in Shoreditch on Wednesday 17th December.
Cancel the nativity play, leave the office party early before you staple your bottom to a photocopier or something, and follow the star to East London. You know it makes sense.
We have another gig next Monday 1st December, this time at the Dublin Castle in Camden. Great venue, good location, come along when you've opened day 1 of your advent calendar and eaten the mini Dairy Milk inside. Nearest tube station is Camden Town - click here for a map.
We're onstage at 8.30, and it'll cost you £4. 50 with a flyer (get one here and fill in the blanks). We'll be playing a brand new song, "Guilty Hands", and the violin will be getting an airing too.
Hi, we wanted to let everyone know that as of October 2008, God Love You For A Liar will be known as The Guilty Hands. This myspace will cease to be active shortly.
If you're getting more into facebook these days (and who can blame you???), go to facebook groups and search for "The Guilty Hands", and you'll get all our gig and release information there.
We're really excited about the new songs we have. If you're excited too, please join us over the other side. If you were a kind of random friend, why not have a quick listen to the songs and clips on the new myspace and see if you get excited about us too. Can't hurt to have a go, can it?
Help us win £15,000 to record an album! Hello Londoner. Cor blimey, in a rather exciting turn of events, GLYFAL have reached the showcase stage on the "Slice The Pie" website - which means we're competing with about 15 other artists (out of a field of 100s) to win money to record an album. And record it well.
All you have to do is sign up to the site and then go to the "all genres 9" showcase and vote. Just type "www. slicethepie. com" into your browser (don't click, myspace thinks it's spam for some inexplicable reason) and it's obvious from there.
If you do you will have our profound gratitude, and we'll produce the album you know we're capable of.
Entry is £5 and we're onstage at 10 (doors 8-1.30).
In the meantime, visit our profile to hear a 1 minute clip of new song "Gregory and the Birds", produced by Gareth Parton (Foals / Kills / Go! Team). We can pretty much guarantee you'll hear all of it at the gig...
Hi, you're receiving this comment because you are on our friends list AND we believe you either live in London or live close enough to get there for a gig. Please let me know if this not true and we will remove you from the list.
Anyway, we have a gig this Friday 4th April at the Miller, near London Bridge. We're onstage at 9.30pm and entry is £5 with a flyer.
ATTENTION ALL SHIPPING at THE FLY New OXford STreet LOndon on MONDAY 10 MARCH - £6 only advance with small fee from www. ticketweb. co. uk - over half tickets gone so make sure you get in by getting an advance place booked :-) supporting STEVE BLAND ASSEMBLY
