UPDATE NOVEMBER 2007
SA on tour! Kick-off in Nijmegen and we will head East after that. Hope to see you at one of our shows!
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2007 Peter Christopherson, featuring Nat and Tay of the Threshold HouseBoys Choir have contributed their "vocal stylings" to a new SA track. Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson is a founding member of ground-breaking bands like Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV and Coil. It's obvious that we are honoured to have him on our upcoming album.
UPDATE AUGUST 2007 The release date for the limited edition (300) 7" entitled The Unperceived Image" is set to 8 October 2007. It features two tracks, each with a very special guest vocalist: David J and Winston Tong. You can order the 7" directly from Music For Speakers.
And yet another guest star appearance! Graham Lewis, member of the legendary post-punk group Wire and creator of many of our favourite tunes (with/as Duet Emmo, He Said, Dome) contributes his words and vocals to a new Strange Attractor track!
UPDATE MAY 2007 Our next tour will be from 8 - 24 November 2007. Confirmed gigs will be posted in the "Upcoming Shows" section.
UPDATE APRIL 2007 We are proud to announce the guest appearance of Bauhaus and Love & Rockets bassist/vocalist David J on our upcoming album.
UPDATE MARCH 2007 What's happening here at SA HQ? A lot!
We're currently recording and producing new tracks for our second album. You can listen to four of them in our player above. The tracks 'Anything' and 'Phobia' will feature on a soon to be released compilation CD entitled ZINGZANG (SPV / Big Blue Records).
We're very happy to have once again the vocal input of Sonar Lodge's Marie-Claudine and Canterbury scene star Richard Sinclair. Jeroen van Vliet and Eric van der Westen, two of the finest Dutch jazz musicians, contributed resp. Fender Rhodes and double bass.
We're also proud to announce the guest appearance of Winston Tong; a San Francisco-based performer, known both for his solo work and his periodic collaborations with the cult group Tuxedomoon.
As to gigs: SA will tour again later this year. Dates will be announced here when they are confirmed.
Feel free to contact Strange Attractor for concerts: info@strangeattractor.eu

NIELS VAN HOORN is a longstanding member of the English / Dutch cult group The Legendary Pink Dots. Their unusual mixture of electronic psychedelic whimsy and lush textures straight out of Alice In Wonderland have kept them on top of the underground cult music scene for already a quarter of a century. Niels, who always coloured outside the dotted line, reached an important milestone with his first solo album Colours (out in autumn 2002 on Soleilmoon USA). Over the years, Niels has also worked with a wide range of performers: drum & bass outfit Voltage, Dead Voices On Air (Mark Spybey of Zoviet France & Download), The Tear Garden (Edward Ka-Spel and Skinny Puppys Cevin Key), Lydia Lunch, Anubian Lights, Szense a.m.m. Niels plays soprano-, tenor-, bariton- and bass saxophone, bass clarinet, flute, Steiner wind synth and electronics.
RICHARD VAN KRUYSDIJK, a.k.a. Sonar Lodge (with MARIE-CLAUDINE VANVLEMEN), has been sound mining ever deeper since his first drum & bass influenced releases to the jazz-infused trip noir approach on Sonar Lodges recent 12s and CDs. They are both also involved in the new M4S group Music For Speakers Amplified (with Sandor Caron, Raphael Vanoli, Jeroen Kimman (Roomtone), Edward Capel). Various projects brought Richard on stage and in the studio with some influential musicians. Future & current collaborations include BEAM and krautrock impro group Szense. Since 1993, he is also a member of the German industrial band Phallus Dei and it's ambient offspring PHD2. Richard plays drums, keys, laptop and electronics.
