About me: I came to the United States in 1965 as a small boy from the industrial city of Essen, Germany (see my video)and spent my remaining formative years in the Baltimore area. Having been a precocious child with a flair for helping others solve their problems, I knew at the age of 9 or 10 that I was destined to be a psychotherapist, however, I fought that particular calling until my early 30s. After barely graduating high school due to a general sense of apathy, I left a "prestigious" job working in a paint factory and decided that the Marine Corps was my way out of an unhappy situation. I still have no regrets about having made this decision. In addition to learning about the various methods to kill another human being, I was also instructed in the Russian language and thereafter had a lot of very interesting experiences throughout the world. I resumed my college studies in ernest after discharging from the Marine Corps in 1984 and eventually went to graduate school only to be activated in my first year when the first Gulf War broke out. As with so many other challenges in my life, I managed to survive that one as well and did eventually finish graduate school in order to be able to obtain my professional license and begin practicing my God-given art. Since then, I have been happy to facilitate positive emotional changes in many people in my professional practice over the resulting years. Therapy is truly an art which I believe requires one to be born into. I also believe that one has to have a strong belief and trust in their own "sixth sense" as well as absolute respect for the inherent strengths which exist in all human beings to be successful in this endeavor. It is not an activity to be taken lightly and in my estimation cannot be adequately learned in a book or classroom alone. In addition to working in private practice, corrections, psychiatric hospitals, community mental health, as well as behavioral managed care, I did a three-year stint working with the terminally-ill and their families. I highly recommend the latter to those who are trying to come to terms with their own mortality and acceptance of death. I currently live in the Philadelphia suburbs with my wife Laura, stepson Matthew, my two dear chihuahuas, Lucy and Lilly and an old calico cat, Sabrina. As we live next to a forest, we are visited frequently by a den of foxes that like to play hide and go seek near my garden shed, a herd of deer that come to clean up the apples that have fallen to the ground as well as an obese raccoon that continually absconds with our garbage. All in all, it's not a bad life.

Who I'd like to meet: Any honest and genuine person who wishes to correspond and get to know me as a person. I am definitely not interested in barely legal girls' webcam sites and will immediately block anyone promoting these as well as any other SPAM activities to also include any form of Ponzi schemes. So please be considerate and don't waste my time or your's.
