About me:
AT WAR is the story of one journalist's journey into the chaotic structure of war. It presents war as a dichotomy of human existence; love and hate, joy and sorrow, victory and defeat. It leads us to a greater understanding of the futility of war and our human nature.
War predates religion. It existed before concepts of national, religious and social divisions were formed. To live as an individual is to encounter conflict with community. We war with neighbors, spouses, society, religion and even ourselves.
AT WAR is a psychedelic look into the chaos of war, filmed in a nation that has known conflict for more than 3000 years. It presents the psyche of war and those that wage it while telling a haunting story of a beleaguered nation.
AT WAR is an action-packed odyssey as seen from the front lines, featuring exclusive combat footage and intriguing conversations with soldiers. It is a voyage into the realization of dreams, lifelong passions and the facets of war that are part of all of us.
Directed by Scott Kesterson and produced by Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist, David Leeson.
