Biking along the river, eating at fabulous restaurants, shopping along Glendale Blvd, hiking in Griffith Park, horseback riding at one of Atwater Village's many horse ranches, going to the Atwater Village Farmer's Market on Sundays, getting coffee at Kaldi....

About me: This page was created by Leonora, who loves Atwater Village very, very much. From Atwater Village's Wikipedia entry: Atwater Village is a neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles, California. It is bordered by the Los Angeles districts of Los Feliz and the Hollywood Hills of Griffith Park on the west, Silver Lake on the south, and Glassell Park on the north-east, Elysian Valley on the south-east and by the city of Glendale on the north. The Los Angeles River runs west of it, separating it from Los Feliz and Silverlake.
Principal thoroughfares include San Fernando Road, Fletcher Drive, and Los Feliz and Glendale Boulevards. The Golden State and Glendale Freeways run along the district's western and southeastern borders, respectively. I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
@H20, how I miss you! I lived there all my life till I was 23, then I moved away. My parents still live there so I like to pretend that I do too. But alas I can not afford to do so, instead I'm stuck in the industrial part of NOHO. Blah.
This thursday we're having a special dance party psychotonic to celebrate my birthday. Your favorite music selector “DJ Devil One” will be spinning the shit that'll make you wanna dance 'cos that's what I want for my birthday. So come out and see me off my damn chair at the front door.
Boy oh boy Atwater! That sure was a great tree lighting ceremony! Something to be very proud of. Great turn out too. Better turnout than the tree lighting ceremony in downtown Los Angeles even! Love you Atwater! Happy Holidays.

I've lived in Atwater Village since I was in 8th grade. Now I teach 1st grade at Glenfeliz Elem. I love small town feeling while being in the heart of the city! It is also cool how some of the parents that live in Atwater choose to keep there children here in the neighborhood and not head automatically for Ivanhoe! Cheers to those parents!
I love Atwater because... It reminds me of living in a small town. You can leave your doorstep and walk to the coffee shop, great restaurants, a dance class, an art gallery, the bank, the ice cream shop, etc. It feels like a real community & I feel lucky to be a part of it. : )
