auBurn won the demo band competition at radio station YleX this week (week 33)!!! Thank you for all that voted! =)
auBurn was formed in the city of Oulu from the remains of Magenta Flow. After the break-up of Magenta in 2002 Jussi (drums), Mikael (guitar) and Tommi (bass) kept the flame of music burning bright. A second guitarist was badly needed though and after a while (2003) a crazy to-be-doctor Markus joined the forces. Later on Markus found his talent as a singer and filled the empty spot of vocalist in the band. Due to the busy schedule of Tommi, Mikko replaced him as the bass player in the early 2006. So the final quartet was formed.
After a year of pitiful messing around, guys finally decided to get a grip and take the band more seriously. During the spring and summer of 2007 the songs for the upcoming extended play were picked and rehearsed. These songs contain butt-kickin' rock riffs with beautiful melodies. Although their music is somewhat mainstream, auBurn never fails to amaze the audience with unprecedented nuances.
