About AUDIO EMPIRE - PAPER SOLDIERS VID NOW UP!!!!!!
2009 is off to a roaring start for Audio Empire. With the "Northern Lights" tour wrapped up and a new video single in the works, the band is maintaining the momentum they built up in the second half of 2008. New single "Paper Soldiers" is a stomping track similar in vein to debut single "The Great Escape", displaying the kind of intensity and slick songwriting that the band is continuing to build it's reputation on.
Previous singles “The Great Escape” and “Goodbye Las Vegas” introduced the band to the masses, to a hugely positive response. Their most recent offering "Lights" has been receiving considerable airplay and video rotate, and has even made it into NZ Music's Top 40. Including "Paper Soldiers", the band now boasts 4 appearances on NZ on Air Hit Discs in the past 18 months, a fitting tribute to their potential both locally and internationally.
The band's self-titled debut album is a highly-charged, diverse and slick-sounding offering that has been well received and only scratches the surface of their breath-taking live show. Produced by Paul Matthews (Blindspott, Five Star Fallout, Stylus, Tadpole), the album’s nine tracks cover a spectrum of emotions and styles. “They’ve got a great sound, I really wanted to work with them on this because I think they’ve got huge potential, both here and overseas,” says Matthews.
Combining elements of Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Breaking Benjamin, Incubus, Pearl Jam and various others, the sound is atypical of the standard New Zealand rock format. The end result is polished, professional and radio-friendly, with enough grit and integrity to keep heads bobbing and fists pumping. With the momentum continuing to grow, 2009 is definitely set to be The Year Of The Empire...

Nathan here from Creative House Auckland. We have expanded and have new practice rooms available as of the 14th of september all fitted with P.A, experienced sound tehc's/engineers and somewhere secure to store you gear between practices. Creative house is easily the biggest, cheapest and fastest growing practice space in Auckland and we would love to have you as part of the action.
