Audio Fiction is
Kristin (vocals), Darren (bass), Charles (guitar) and Mark (drums).
Audio Fiction's music "crosses between Blondie, No Doubt and The Pretenders." But the lead singer is a natural blonde, and their aesthetic shines more like the bastard step-child of Blondie, Garbage and Evanescence.
Reviewers, fans and people who know good music described Audio Fiction's sound as throw-back power-pop-rock-punk, with catchy riffs, brilliant guitar solos and deceptively serious lyrics. Audio Fiction prefers a more metaphorical description: “we offer you cotton candy, then kick you in the teeth, all while you're dancing”.
Their live show is a unique coupling of musical virtuosity and raw human emotion. While it is impossible to pin this band down with just one style and genre, there is no doubt that this band is truly original. One thing is for sure 'They put on a kick-ass live show!" according to Gothamist.com. Don't believe it? Come see them play!!
SinceAudio Fiction's auspicious debut performance in early 2003, the band has been making a name for itself throughout New York City and the nation, putting on dozens of energetic live shows, and releasing its first EP, Songs in the Key of Orange Alert, to wide national acclaim. Ireland's version of Rolling Stone and early adopter of U2, Hot Press Magazine, featured the band and put them on their "Hot Band's to Watch".

The band has been featured in The New York Post, New York Daily News, The Village Voice, The Hollywood Reporter, GO NYC Magazine, Curve Magazine, Gothamist.com, Ireland's Hot Press Magazine ("Hot Bands to Watch"), The Aquarian, She Magazine, Stereogum, OK Magazine Europe, and The Sun Ireland to name but a few.
The band's debut album is due end of summer 2008.
