“AudioFun” is pseudonym of 21 year old music producer/DJ “Matthew Corry.” Originally from Derry (Northern Ireland) and now based in one of the UK’s biggest electronic music hubs, Manchester. It all came about in early February 2009 when Corry put together 4 tracks and sent them out to a few blogs. These tracks picked up massive support from blogs and DJs alike. Everyone from Kissy Sell Out to the Japanese Popstars were onboard with AudioFun.
This lead to a original EP being put together for Freek Records which has seen releases from Calvertron, AC Slater, Stupid Fresh and many more electro heavyweights with remixers “Tonka” and “Dirty Freek” set to remix for the package. This release has already picked up massive support from BBC Radio 1, Kissy Sell Out, Jaymo & Andy George, Foamo, Black Noise, Aquasky,Utah Saints etc and released in December 2009.
In july 2009 Corry was asked by Tonka to remix a track for his upcoming “Ready For War” EP being released through Fatboy Slim’s “Southern Fried Records.” This led to a series of releases for “Southern Fried Records “ including remixes for the likes of Malente and Last Japan and a 4 track EP of originals signed and set for release in February 2010, all of which cover the trademark genre bending of techno and bass driven jump-up electro styles that AudioFun merge in both DJ Sets and productions.
If 2009 is anything to go by the upcoming year is set to very busy with the remix requests and gig schedule filling up very quickly. The future is looking very bright for “AudioFun.”
