Audio*Otic was formed in Wisconsin Dells, WI when two former members of the band Five On The Floor, Derek Poulin and Mike Morgensen, met with aspiring musicians Forest McGee and Aaron Bergh in the late summer of 2004. They got together with the idea of making a band that played nothing but original music.
They are currently working on their debut album at Megatone Studios in Madison, WI. The album, propelled by lead single, Wargames, is due out soon, and is sure to roll some heads with the great melodies and hook filled songs that Audo*Otic has become known for. Paul Schluter, (Last Crack [Roadrunner Records], Muzzy Luctin) will be engineering and producing the album.
Influences: Charlie Patton, Primus, Hum, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Jets to Brazil, Mike Doughty, Alice in Chains, Year of the Rabbit, Ken Andrews, The White Stripes, The Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, Led Zeppelin, and oh soooo many more.
