   About -Audiopath- / Prototype "A"
Joshua Young's earliest forays into music production... most material produced ca. 1999 to 2002 (as Protoype "A"), but still an ongoing side project. Mostly ambient and noise recordings (made using a single rudimentary sequencer/tone generator), but also explores electro with a somewhat classic analog style. Despite a tendency to go in these directions, Audiopath/Prototype "A" is/was created with no rules or set guidelines in mind. Joins forces with Dan "Ten" Young to make recordings as (( A N O M I E )), and as a result, some Audiopath (or Prototype "A") material appears in (( A N O M I E )) and may also appear in other projects...
Audiopath has also explored remixing from 2008 to the present. New material is planned but currently on hold, in order to focus on other musical projects.

Really enjoyed listening to your music this morning!

Have you ever listened to Red Planet out of Detroit from the UR crew? Your sound reminds me of them!

so bad about the tape hiss? yeah the hiss is awful if over the whole recording unwanted. I need to bury out my old tapes too, and digitize them before they start hissing that much too, I think.
thanks about that aphex twin comparisons, thats too good :)
wish you the best

I think the sound of an tape gives some recordings much more warmth, but you are right bout the quality of them. played once, played twice, and everything begins to change, which could be a nice effect I think.
btw Ive changed 85 minutes, its called daycrawler now, and I think the only thing which stayed the same is the beat...would appreciate your thoughts on it again.

btw I was working the last 2 days on a track which got a lot of osunds going on...alot different to the rest of the songs, hopefully I can finish it in the next week...its very laid back, atmospheric. I like it a lot so far.

thanks again for your honest words. about that depth thing... I know what all of you guys mean by adding some baseline or layers to the whole mix up, but I think that would fatten up the sound to much in form of makin it to heavy to bassy. I wanted to archieve a real "sunny" light sound with it. the only bass bounce iun that track I wanted to create with the drums to not weighten it too much. maybe its the system you listening to it, cause the bassdrum is a heavy bitch and I think it works well for what it is.
so dont wanna fight against your opinion and not against the others of course. thanks you again for your honesty and btw am I the only one posting here? you deserve more, alot more!!!

hello again,
thanks for your long post, always glad to get something to read :)
I am happy that you like 3cities the best, cause its my favourite of those 4 too. the only track I would call finished of these is "sheep egg" but completele different target as 3 cities, but thats my main goal, more in the (to say it again) 3cities direction.
and again I am fascinated by your tracks, and also again it makes me think of twin peaks again (which is truly a good thing cause I looooove twin peaks).
so I can say it too: hope to hear something new from you in the next time.
have a nice evening

Hey I got the pole position in your guestbook, what an honour cause I wanna thank you for the add. cause I really dig your stuff, great tunes, absolutely not afraid of experimenting. could imagine twin peaks season three with mourning bells as the soundtrack. keep on. I hope you like my tunes too, if so I would really appreciate your opinion on it.
have a nice day
