philly rock'n'roll power trio. slapping faces & kicking asses! definitely sure we would never be accepted lovingly in the arms of pop culture enthusiasts. some songs are pretty, some songs are punk & pissed, a couple are jazzy... we change our setlist depending on our mood..
vox/guitar by tia(rb)=a mutha chunking rhythm guitarist.. bass/vox by colin(cc)=gritty lines & watch out stink bugs!.. chuck or erik plays drums; if doug is in our proximity, he plays the chaos & other electrix (silo is acting up!!)
When AUDIOPHYLE first started playing, it was a dubbed out
space jam band that slowly shifted into very heavy punk infused
rock and then launched into space by Doug's kaoss pad synths
and Chuck's relentless drums.
More recently the band has been inspired to write some
serious revolution songs. They have had many members
drift in and out of the band, but the core has always been
Colin McDonnell on bass and Tia Refait on guitar and vocals.
You may show up to a gig and get a completely electronic sound
sculpture set, but don't be fooled, "We gotta remember our roots;
deep in the chaos and the void of space" as Colin likes to say.
We will never surrender without a fight!!! Blinking in and out
of this reality is AUDIOPHYLE.
P.S. we like to drink, so help us out at shows. you would be amused by the results.
