The Nashville Demos (as I fondly refer to them) continue on. I started this process late last year by recording three songs with producers Ian Fitchuk and Justin Loucks. It produced some pretty good stuff including a neat single (still unreleased ANYWHERE). Now I head back for several more sessions this October and will be playing with some extremely talented and possibly cool guys!! LOL. We will see. In the meantime, I will be playing some acoustic and electric shows around Memphis, including at the University of Memphis. Stay tuned.
I play with some great and talented musicans. I have been so lucky to be able to be around so many awesome people. On my first CD, Most Popular Misfit, I had the opportunity to play with Paul Berkes, Steve Adkisson, Joe Mariencheck and Greg Easterly. I have also recorded some demos with the guys (JD and Eric) at Unclaimed Recordings here in Memphis and they rock. I am currently working with a bunch of talented people and following ideas from my legal rep in Nashville, Chris. I have opened for some neat people including Patterson Hood, Michelle Malone, Girl In A Coma and Robert Johnson. I have played on stage with the Drive-By Truckers (twice), Robert Johnson, Patterson Hood, John Kilzer, Michelle Malone and many others. And my latest revolving band is awesome with Russell Caudill on drums and Tommy MacDonald on bass. They are Nashville greats and we will do it again!! I play (and have played) in several bands including Raze Raise Rays, Vintage Tattoos, The Hypocrites, the A/C and Boscobel (before the incident). This fall, we will be looking to finally get some new music on the radio!! Wish me well!! Love you all, contagiously, Audra

Did I mention my Dad? Yeah, that's it.

A very interesting mix of way too many people. Some very peculiar individuals say Alanis Morrisette, while others say Jewel. I recently heard my rockin sounds like Garrison starr!! I wish i could sound like the indigo girls or michelle malone or even amelia royko, and sometimes i might even moderately emulate them, but i will never have a sound that is like one particular person and that is how i want it to stay.
Born in 1991, Audra is growing up in Memphis, the home of rock and roll. She is a songwriter (like her Dad) and has written over 200 original songs. Her first cd "Most Popular Misfit" was released May 31, 2007, with a CD release show at the famous HiTone Cafe in Memphis. These 12 songs were written mostly when she was 14 and recorded when she was 15. It remains a wonderful document of her life and talent in those years. Audra is currently recording demos for her second CD, tentatively titled "Unsinkable" right now. You can hear some of the demos at www.myspace.com/audrabrownband
This CD promises to be much louder and mostly recorded with a full band. 2009 has been full of writing new stuff and working out arrangements. Currently recording new demos in Memphis and Nashville, I am hoping that the future could be big....stay tuned for details!
