I play with some great and talented musicans. I have been so lucky to be able to be around so many awesome people. On my first CD, Most Popular Misfit, I had the opportunity to play with Paul Berkes, Steve Adkisson, Joe Mariencheck and Greg Easterly. I have also been playing with the guys (JD and Eric) at Unclaimed Recordings here in Memphis and they rock. I am currently working with a bunch of talented people including my current tour manager, Mark Williams. I opened for Michelle Malone with Russell Caudill on drums and Tommy MacDonald on bass. They are Nashville greats and we will do it again!! I play (and have played) in several bands including Raze Raise Rays, Vintage Tattoos, The Hypocrites, the A/C and Boscobel (before the incident). This summer look out for the Audra Brown Band!!
Influences
I have been influenced by a group of very diverse types of music such as the awesome Ameila Royko, Atomic Blonde, Jen Trynin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deathcab For Cutie, the Glands, the Beatles, Patterson Hood, Nirvana, the Moaners, John Kilzer, Cheap Trick, Southern Bitch, Ani Defranco, The Indigo Girls, Michelle Malone, Keith Sykes, Arlo Guthrie, Wendy Musick, My Siamese Self, Amy Ray, Mike Cooley, Jason Isbell, Tift Merritt, John Lennon, The Replacements and my all time favorites, the Drive-By Truckers. Did I mention my Dad? Yeah, that's it.
Sounds Like

A very interesting mix of way too many people. Some very peculiar individuals say Alanis Morrisette, while others say Jewel. I recently heard my rockin sounds like Garrison starr!! I wish i could sound like the indigo girls or michelle malone or even amelia royko, and sometimes i might even moderately emulate them, but i will never have a sound that is like one particular person and that is how i want it to stay.
Born in 1991, Audra is growing up in Memphis, the home of rock and roll. She is a songwriter (like her Dad) and has written over 200 original songs. Her first cd "Most Popular Misfit" was released May 31, 2007, with a CD release show at the famous HiTone Cafe in Memphis. These 12 songs were written mostly when she was 14 and recorded when she was 15. It remains a wonderful document of her life and talent in those years. Audra is currently recording demos for her second CD, tentatively titled "Unsinkable" right now. You can hear some of the demos at www.myspace.com/audrabrownband
This CD promises to be much louder and mostly recorded with a full band. She will be playing shows in 2008 both with her band and some solo shows. A summer tour is planned and dates will be announced in April.

When the earth is dying there shall arise a new tribe of all colours and all creeds. This tribe shall be called The Warriors of the Rainbow and it will put its faith in action not words...
We write angry music about rejection and misplaced friendships and yet we are the quietest bunch you are ever likely to meet. Something happens when we get our instruments out haha. As it does!
We have a wide variety of music but we are best described as Post Rock/Alternative/Indie. We don’t tend to try and pidgeon hole ourselves its just the way it seems to come out.
Anyways I know you are already a friend of the band but so often friends on myspace don’t tend to talk to each other so I thought I would just pass this message along and say that we hope your day is going well and that you can take the time to join in on our adventure.
