Blurbs

About me:

Who I'd like to meet:

Just here to keep in contact with old friends. And maybe meet some cool new peeps. In a digital era, who knows, maybe I'll accidentally stumble into someone that has found true enlightenment...on MySpace. Do you think it's possible?

Interests

  • General

I'm a good girl gone bad with a huge heart. I like concerts/shows, reading, painting, writing, and hanging with my family and friends. I like discussing the taboo subjects of politics and religion and how to achieve a better world. I don't take it personal. I dig geisha girls, butterflies, classic cars, Gidget, Angels baseball, art, and the cold side of the pillow on a warm night.
  • Music

Music is all powerful and all affecting. If we really are all made of strings of energy at our core, and those strings can be manipulated by music's wavelengths, perhaps Bob Marley was right. My fave genres are punk, rock, and whatever else fits my mood at the moment. I hate rap and don't really care for most country music. I like classical once in a while. I collect vinyl, particularly old punk rock. I love the analogue scratchy REAL sound.

My fave bands are Rise Against, Atreyu, Flyleaf, Evanescence, Bullet for my Valentine, Deftones, Hellyeah, Puddle of Mudd, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Avril Lavigne, Bad Religion, Street Dogs, Dropkick Murphy, Flogging Molly, Pennywise, Turbonegro, Smut Peddlers, Bouncing Souls, System of a Down, Social Distortion, My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Nine Inch Nails, Rob Zombie, Slightly Stoopid, Rancid, Jack Johnson, Seether, Stone Sour, Disturbed, Cold, Korn, Onesidezero, Sick Puppies, Incubus, Dredge, The Killers, Johnny Cash, No Doubt, Sublime, Nirvana, Bush, Offspring, Green Day, Mazzy Star, Frank Sinatra, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Ramones, Massive Attack, Tool, Primus, Pantera, Avenged Sevenfold, old Metallica, Rage Against the Machine, Radiohead, The Cure, Portishead, The Distillers, Dead Kennedys, NOFX, MXPX, Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam, Bjork...the list could go on forever.
  • Movies

In no particular order... Hackers, Lord of War, Rounders, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, GIA, Troy, Seven, Legends of the Fall, Interview with a Vampire, Mad Love, SWAT, An Elegant Universe, In Gods Hands, V for Vendetta, Memoirs of a Geisha, Pride and Prejudice, The Island, Stay, Clerks, Chasing Amy, Trainspotting, SLC Punk, Sid & Nancy, Moulin Rouge, GO, Pirates of the Carribean, Marie Antoinette, The Duchess, Good Will Hunting, Betty Page!, Silent Hill, From Hell, Office Space, American Beauty, Legally Blonde, Legend, The Last Unicorn, The Rats of Nymph, Alice in Wonderland, Empire Records, Dazed & Confused, GIDGET, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Cry-Baby, Dogma, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Basketball Diaries, Fight Club, The Craft, The Ring, Thirteen, Resident Evil, The Devil Wears Prada, What Happens In Vegas, 28 Weeks Later, Sex and the City, Across the Universe, Simpsons, Dawn of the Dead, Wanted, The Other Boleyn Girl, Hotel Ruwanda, What The Bleep Do We Know?, I Am Legend, Walk The Line, The Perfect Storm, Doomsday, Girl Interrupted, Brokedown Palace, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Pursuit of Happyness, Vanity Fair, American History X, and many more. I love a good horror flick and anything with vampires or zombies!

I also like documentaries. I have this weird dream that I will help save the world someday. And if you're tired of reading print on a page after a long day of "paralegalism," documentaries can be a good way to stay informed about what's really happening in the world.
  • Television

I dig the series The Tudors, True Blood, old Sex and the City reruns, Scrubbs, Real Time with Bill Maher, Heroes, Nip/Tuck, Real Housewives, Simpsons, Entourage, Grey's Anatomy, Daisy of Love (eek- guilty pleasure), and Out of the Wild.
  • Books

I am totally a bookworm. I like old classics and new witty romantic comedies. The Devil Wears Prada, Something Borrowed, White Oleander, Paint It Black, anything Jane Austen, Bet Me, Vanity Fair, Madame Bovary, Lily of the Valley, Confessions of a Shopaholic, A Bride Most Begrudging, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Other Boleyn Girl, that whole dang Twilight series, The Delivery Man, Good In Bed, Cocktails for Three, Mademoiselle Boleyn, Jane Eyre, Petal Pusher, Jennifer Crusie books, Innocent Traitor, Prozac Nation, and way too many others to list.

Every month I stalk the mailbox for my next new copy (made of post-recycled materials) of AdBusters magazine. You should check it out too.
  • Heroes

Anyone that has the courage to stand up to injustice in this world and not follow the herd.
