The new album, "Sister Sara" sounds like old-school Heart, with dashes of Pixies and a smattering of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
"San Francisco underground scene favorites Audrey Howard and the Misters perform tight-knit rock, driven by Audrey’s mind-blowing, real life guitar hero 'riffage.' " - Fabulosa Festival
What would Mary Timony, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Neil Young, The Pretenders, and PJ Harvey drinking poolside sound like? That's "Audrey Howard and the Misters."
The band consists of 3 former members of "Wood" - San Francisco's hugely popular 70's-rock drag band. After Wood splintered, Audrey swept up the shavings including Beth Robinson on drums and Katie Booser on bass. Janese Hurley brings her fiddle, fire, and vocal skills. The four perform tight-knit, driving post-punk and experimental rock. Audrey Howard and the Mr.'s are excited for their ep release at the Bottom of the Hill on Friday, Nov. 20th - with Dolorata!
Audrey has recorded and released 4 albums and is currently working on her fifth.
She is a well-known rocker in the Bay Area, having fronted the bands "Strumpet" and "Audrey Come Lately", as well as playing lead guitar in the 70's tribute band "Wood."
