I believe everyone can be a poet but some lack the feeling to it. When I write it's not words on a paper it's something I feel, It could be a lyric in a song, or a bad day at work. You just made my top ten,  I must say, I am a hard critic when it comes to poetry and writing.  I don't expect any less from people that know how to write because they are capable of excellence if they apply themselves and not do a half ass job.
