Audrey Cutler is a normal Southern California girl. She has an obese cat, an awesome best friend, and two hippie-ish parents who love her. She's funny, charming, and she likes her music loud. Then she dumps Evan - her self-involved musician boyfriend - and he writes Audrey, Wait!, a breakup song about her that he records with his band, The Do Gooders. The song rockets up the Billboard charts and slowly but surely makes Audrey famous!
All Audrey wants is to have fun, go to concerts, hang out with her friends, and maybe score a date with James, her cute co-worker at the Scooper Dooper. But the paparazzi won't leave her alone, and the tabloids are trying to make her into some kind of rock goddess!
