WHERE I'M FROM...
Londoner for 9 years, I started as a DJ doing the soundclash radio show for five years. Along with mashup producer Flex we played reggae, hiphop and mashups as CLASH HI-FI. Together we seriously rocked dances around europe, longside friends like Brother Culture, Soul Jazz records and Irie Ites... I also helped the talented Kukin records, and their IMAM BAILDI project, crew get a first remix 12"... WHERE I'M AT
I have now relocated to the motherland, Paris, France. The music is nice over here too! The ladies even nicer...and DJing as "AUGUI DUB", hence this myspace.... I am playing in either strictly reggae circles but also more african, soul, funk and hiphop events. I do weddings too and have a great time there playing vintage 45s.... I record dubplates to bring artists i want to promote on a different vibe, and make the dancehall experience one that stands out for its freshness, its originality, and generally, for the positive vibes in the dance... I try to take reggae out of the dancehall ghetto, try to bring the reggae massives into different vibes, and simply get the people to unite and go crazy to the music
WHAT NEXT
- NOTTING HILL PARIS XV - CLASH HI-FI in session . We get back together with Daddy Flex on the first outdoor outing of the Augui Dub Sound System... Pray for sun!
- My main clash hi-fi bredrin Flex is starting a new label called FLEXITIME which will also bring together people from different horizons... From the living legend Brother Culture to Papa Levi and YT... Big tings a gwaan!
- and of course, Imam Baildi that I am trying to fix up with a label to release their wicked CD. Hoping every one will get to hear the "original folkloric mashup", the way forward they do it!

Ce jeune label parisien perpétue la quête initiée par les productions indépendantes du début des années 70.d’un jazz ‘spirituel’ simple et intense hérité des années pop et hippie autant que du be-bop.
Enregistrés très rapidement mais dans des conditions techniques contemporaines, les albums du label gardent une fraîcheur et une imperfection volontaire, en rupture avec la pratique de ‘sur-production’ actuelle. Car, comme les albums des labels Strata East, ou Vanguard, les disques produits ou réédités par le label privilégient la Vérité de l’Instant à la fabrication savante. En accord avec cette démarche de production où l’émotion prime sur l’analyse, la politique éditoriale s’attache davantage à la philosophie d’ouverture et de recherche du jazz qu’à ses codes et ses règles.

Après deux années de recherches dans les archives d'éditeurs et de mythiques studios parisiens, il sort du bois….ou plutôt il revient sur terre.
Minimoogli a ainsi retrouvé, restauré et re-édité des trésors cosmic et space disco confectionnés en France dans les années 70 ; Arpadys, Disco & Co, Spacial & Co.... Il viendra nous présenter la quatrième aventure TUBETRACKS : "Disco & Co ‘Daniele Baldelli 2008 re-edit’" qui sortira le 12 décembre dans le cadre de la soirée JAZZISTIC au Karambole Café, le lieu du 18ème arrondissement parisien.
Au programme, une édition consacrée au cosmic disco avec deux djs sets proposés par Minimoogli et Switch « Groov » Exp.
Vous êtes invités à chausser vos moonboots, polir votre scaphandre et débuter votre programme d’entraînement physique « mode espace »…..
