Augustine's Garden is a Christian rock band from Anderson, Indiana.
In the early fall of 1999 Augustine's Garden was formed by David Baker, Thee Jonny B', Josh Jack, Dave Franceschini, and Ryan Ordo. AG's music style is best described as "Modern/Alternative Rock." Each member shared a common desire to reach out to people in need of Christ in their lives. They each feel that God has called them into full time music ministry. They love to rock as a band, but more importantly they love to worship the Lord. At every performance they do their very best to communicate how Jesus Christ has changed their lives and how important it is to accept Him as Savior.
Why this name?
St. Augustine, a man who lived from 354-430 AD, is one of only four people who have been named a doctor of the church. The significance of our name is indebted to his conversion experience. After listening to the great and powerful preacher Ambros, Augustine went walking in a garden reading the book of Romans. Struggling with the idea of having to give up his secular ways of life, he walked into the inner recesses of the garden. He heard a voice saying, "Take your bible and read it." Concluding that angels were telling him to read Romans again, he decided that the first verse he laid his eyes upon he would take as an instruction from God. He opened up to Romans 13:13,14 which states, "Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature." It was this experience that caused Augustine to turn from his ways and become a Christian.
Like Augustine, we in the band have had our own "Garden Encounter" in one fashion or another, and have realized that we need to lose our old way of life, take up our cross and follow Him. It is our prayer that through our ministry we can begin to help change lives, as our own were changed.
Through the years from 1999-2004, AG has had the privelage to achieve and do the following:
Professionally worked with Audio Adrenaline, Spoken, Relient K, Small Town Poets, John Reuben, Ace Troubleshooter, Skillet, The Benjamin Gate, GS Megaphone, Super Chick, The Elms, Kids In The Way (aka once known as "Serenity"), and Slingshot 57 just to name a few.
In late 2000 - Augustine's Garden was 1 of the first bands to apply on Flicker Records and submit their 4 song EP with an approx. of 1200 votes to Pillars 3000+ thus resulting in the signing of Pillar & debut in 2001. Pillar was well seasoned at the time as they had formed just one year earlier in '98. It was a well respected and deserved signing for Pillar.
From then on AG went on performing 200+ shows between 12 states in 5 years across the US Mid-West gaining mentor ship from Audio Adrenaline & The Elms, and sharing the stage as opening act. In 2001 they would release a full length album titled "Welcome To The Garden" along with a video to the single "This Day". Eventually in Spring of 2004 "all" AG members had split and parted ways to pursue God's further callings for each of them in their individual lives.

official website. Soon we will put up our real Official Website originally located at .NET before all of the x-rated mayhem surfaced and our .NET name was once bought out. That was a lesson we learned. Do not ever let go of an internet name that you are well associated with. It could be potentially obtained by a source that you are very much against and could potentially harm your reputation.
Can I see Augustine's Garden in concert?
No. As a band we are no longer playing. But as individuals we all have our own projects going on. This is definately the place to find out were we are and what we are doing.
